New item: Binoculars

I think it would be cool to be able to make in-game markers and distance reading. For example if you spot a bad guy you can mark their location without fiddling with the map, same thing for getting good zeroings when sniping.

Further more you could perhaps be able to set more than one marker, for example one for "let's go here" and one for "enemy spotted"

Having this as part of the UI would make things easier, and since Bluehole hates making things easier for us it could be implemented as a new item you pick up and use - binoculars or something like that.

Not really needed as we have all kind of scopes for that purpose. Also it will be a good challenge no one can be a recon, only those lucky ones who will get the 8x or 15x scopes.

Not necessarily. Binoculars can come in handy with a wider view than a scope and you can't aim a rifle with binoulars.

I like the idea because you can scan things a lot faster because it isn't mounted on a bulky item and you can perhaps see better with a six or seven magnification or something. Gives someone a chance to see things from afar if they don't find a 8 or 15X scope.

I mostly want it for putting a marker on the thing you're looking at to communicate exact location to your squad mates in a fight, rather than to switch to the map and try to figure out which house it is on the map

It's a good idea since the magnifying sights tend to be scarce and players with a 4x or 8x have a significant advantage in just spotting enemies much less hitting them. Putting binoculars in the game would keep half the players from being almost blind.
