PUBG FOV on Samsung 49 Inch @ 3440X1080
I just got my new samsung chg90 144hz qled curved gaming monitor, and the screen is not rendering the FOV correctly. The game play is too zoomed and the start up page cuts off the players head. Tried all the Engine.ini notepad editing for FOV but i think the game rewrites the file upon starting. How do I fix this !!! PLEASE help

Cuz thats not a gaming monitor. You shouldnt play on a bigger monitor than a 27''

^ This.
OP You can actually play on this monitor, but it would suck a little bit, this monitor is for eye candy games or workstation.

Unfortunately the game doesn't scale very well also changing the FOV only works for fpp

you know this problem has nothing to do with the screen size but with the ratio of the resolution, right?

i got a resolution of 3440 x 1440. in PUBG this works okay. but this thread tells me, that my FOV is getting cut top and bottom.

my guess: the game is set up to run in 16:9 (eg 1920x1080) ratio
to not favor the ppl with wider screens like Rubix (28.7:9) or me (21.5:9), they keep the horizontal perspective fixed and cut off top and bottom of the image to fit your screen.
other way round when you use a screen with 4:3 ratio, they will cut off parts left and right.
this way every person using a different screen ratio than 16:9 will see less.
sadly its a common practise to do...

32:9 screen size. Sigh, otther ppl have gotten this right though

The problem is that on pubg the maximum FOV is 103 degrees so if you have a monitor more then 16:9 in ratio you will see zoomed because it will extend the 103 degrees in all your ultrawide size and it will cut up and down the scene.

You bumped a post from 2018. How deep did you go into old posts to find this.
