M16 r M4?

Ever since the 1.0 update i tried using the m16, tbh before 1.0 i hated it, But now im starting to get used to it but some say the m4 is still better than it. I now know how to control the burst of the m16 (kind of) i mostly hit like 2/3 of my shots. The m4 let me down.. ALOT.
So...

M16 or M4?

M16 lets you fire 3 shots every 0.075 seconds with burst fire, because it's on the same 'cooldown' as a single shot. Comparatively the M4 is 0.086 seconds per shot on auto or single fire. In terms of being able to put bullets in someone and drop them instantly, the M16 is the king of assault rifles... if you know how to compensate for its recoil, which isn't easy. The M4 is more average-player friendly.

"On paper" is the key here. Sure you can spam the m16 really fast if you just jitter click but you sacrifice accuracy at that point. That's why you see people resorting to macros. Even top tier players like Shroud and Spreezy drop the m16 in favor of the m4. It's not nearly as effective in game and really suffers close range against most automatic weapons.

Well that’s the problem. It’s the hardest rifle to play with if it comes to control it. But if u do control it well, well then it’s the best rifle. If the question was which rifle would fit the most players..well then it would be the scar nor m4. But better ist the m16 by facts.

Shroud actually prefers the 16 after the update. So does Break and Andypyro.

Also using the m16 saves u time because u don’t need all the attachements like the m4 would need so u can go quicker on the run also it performes the same from the very first minute until the last

That is infact true about the m16 can't attack the 8x but the 8x is useless on the m16, i would rather put an 8x on a kar98 or a M4, the m16 is best at open fields with no cover because of the burst. Just hitting all of your burst m16 shots can kill someone instantly.

Im gonna try recording my kills using the m16 and the m4 FPP and see where i do better

M16 used to be good when AKM was also good, but now since they changed AKM the M16 also became pretty shait. Also VSS used to crap when M16 was good but now VSS seems to be pretty decent now.
