Also Fornite is free and easier to learn, of course it has more players, more casual players can hop on and try it without spending a penny.
It's very popular in America. Pretty much every person I met knows of the game. Maybe you didn't know this because you are uneducated, but the population of Asia is far larger than the American population. Still, a higher percentage of Americans play the game than the percentage of Chinese do.
Not including Xbox or mobile, PUBG's playerbase is 24% American. During American peak time, PUBG on Steam has more concurrent players than any other game besides DOTA 2, a game with a very small American player base (6%). So it's clear that on Steam, PUBG is the most popular game with Americans.
That doesn't even include the Xbox version. Xbox One has 4 million players, and considering the console is dead in Europe and non-existant in Asia, it's safe to assume the vast majority of those players are American.
For more insight, Battlefield 1, a very well known, popular game in America, struggles to pass 100k concurrent players globally across all platforms. So it's more than safe to say PUBG is even more popular in America than BF1.

Console is dead in europe???? wtf??? again, show me numbers from a reliable source. Non existent in asia????? LOL I can´t take you seriously.
