PUBG takes Epic Games to Court
https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/tech/2018/05/134_249598.html

Pretty stupid to bite the hands that feeds you.

Say goodbye to PUBG Corp better hope for their sake that they're fully compliant with Unreal Engine's [EULA](https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/eula); the last time a company licensing Unreal sued Epic Games, Epic flipped the board and countersued for breech of agreement, which resulted in [all copies of Too Human being recalled and destroyed, and Silicon Knight's licensing rights being revoked.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Too_Human#Unreal_Engine_dispute) The company had existed since 1992, but the countersuit utterly destroyed them, and they went out of business a year later.

Epic games is indeed.

Pubg was making as hell lot of money for them, what do they do? Copy basics of the game and release it for free on a unreleased Unreal Engine that is optimized for BR games (why did they not share it with their biggest customer?). Fortnite was a failed project then Pubg became popular so they just build in the basic functionalities and voila here we are.
"Hey man, don't steal my Arma clone idea." gg though

Wow. :cfacepalm: This is video game history unfolding here folks.

If PUBG Corp can prove they stole their code, Epic Games could be forced to pay damages. There's no telling what a judge might determine that value to be.

If Epic Games wins, PUBG Corp will be on their **** list for life. I wouldn't be surprised if Epic found a way to revoke their UE license. That would effectively halt development of PUBG. It would have to be converted into another engine. But with the amount of time it takes PUBG devs to get stuff out... It might actually be the end of PUBG.

Seems like you have no idea what Epic Games is. Epic Games doesn't need PUBG lol. PUBG sure needs Epic Games though considering Epic Games owns the Unreal Engine, you know the game PUBG is developed on?

Yeah let's the sure the company that gives you the license for the engine you develop your game on. Smart strategy.

I hope Epic Games revokes the license so PUBG can die.

I sure do know what Epic games is they get 5 percent of Pubg their gross revenue. Do you know what contracts are? As long there isn't any breach of contract Epic can not revoke anything.

Do you also know who owns 40 percent of Epic games? Tencent. Do you also know who owns a part of Bluehole and has the exclusive rights for China and the mobile game? Tencent. Do you really think Tencent let Pubg or Epic sink?

Fact that Epic is licensing them a license doesn't give them the right to breach copyright (which has still to be proven) or that it will be without consequences.

> Trolling

I'd love to hear how I'm trolling.

> Inflammatory discussions

Like the person going to my thread just to write "nice vac ban" nice valuable discussion you have there

> Spam

Like writing the same thing you wrote in another thread on this thread

> Already threads on this forum with the same thing

That's ironic considering the post with 90 replies was created 10 hours ago while mine was created 15 hours ago

At least you tried. I give you that.
