HyperX Cloud II

So I got my hands on my new headset, which is the HyperX Cloud II. After many hours of watching comparisons and reading other people's take on the HyperX Cloud II. I have read that many PUBG players use this headset and that they could hear from miles away! Fantastic right? Well for me, I still can't hear a good amount of footsteps, should I have 7.1 Surround sound turned on or use the regular Stereo option? Is there any software that I need to setup to enhance the audio quality? And should I connect my headset using the Audio jacks or the USB? If anyone here has a HyperX Cloud II please tell me your experience with it and if you tweaked it.

Edit: Don't know if anyone wants to know, but I had the Logitech G230 before.

with a pos Koss stereo headset i hear em from miles away .... arty / cars are deafening literally
i would try the stereo option / audio ports maybe ? sounds like a settings issue tho GL

I can hear fine with Hyper X headset for a long distance compared to my speakers.

This game is stupid that buying a headset is required to get proper audio.

They never tested it with anything other than headsets.

This is an annoying company and I wish bad things upon the owners families.

Why do lots of people use stereo instead of 7.1 though? 7.1 has like speakers from all directions and stereo only has 2.

I can only hear in one ear with a hearing aid in the other so I have to use mono and it sucks. Yeah I hear you but from where?

Because BH never coded the game for 7.1 support, it only supports stereo.

look up like on youtube pc equalizer. there are a couple programs you can install. one enhances the sound and the other is a tool so you can customize the sound. i had 2 headsets and both where just as equal and quiet. now things are much louder.

Yeah doing that will make the red zone deafen you too though lol.

got cloud 2 also dont use the 7.1 coz the game dont support it yet.sometime i can hear people but it is hard to pinpoint.maybe coz i once used my headset to loudness equalization and maybe it makes my headset performance lower. i used it then i hear my headset start making loud noises and some say it may damage ur headsets

just don't use 3rd party apps to enhance audio.it may ban you for using 3rd party apps

use stereo, this game built around directional stereo sounds, i use the regualr hyper x cloud gaming headset (the first one) and i hear everything just fine.

sonic radar comes with asus motherboards, havent seen anyone saying they were banned because of it, but then again... pubg doesnt tell anyone why they got banned.

last month someone got banned by using sonic radar.it makes ur gameplay not fair.he/she posted it in this forum that it got detected

im in this forum constantly and not once have i seen that, also no one ever even provideds proof of what they got banned for, dont believe everything a cheater spouts.
