Clearly you dont, because NO WHERE ON ANY OF THESE LINKS DOES IT SAY THE M4 DOES MORE DMG. ALL YOU DID WAS PROVE THAT THEY ALL DO THE SAME DMG.
Also you're implying i said that the M4 wasnt the best all around gun in the game, which i didnt. i corrected you when you said it does the most dmg out of any rifle in the game, which is doesnt, and youve JUST proven.

I can't find any statistics concerning the loot table for this game. But though experience it seems like the M16 is more of a common drop than the M4. And I don't see the lack of 8X support for a common gun as that big on an issue. If you use a 4X properly, it's just as good.

There is no "buff" to the s12 having an 8x seeing how it has absolutely no range. The over under is better for lobbing shot down field... if anything the 8x on a s12 would be more of a hinderence... seeing how if you accidentally ads it's going to zoom in and distort your vision for a moment while you adjust on a close up target.

Its just wrong that the M16A4 cannot take all scopes. First of all, its a full length rifle, and in REAL life is more appropriate for a full length tube optic than an M4 and, especially, and AK or SKS.
Its just ridiculous that the 8X cannot be used.
Think of Lone Survivor. Those sniper rifles are basically suped up M16A4s. Its stupid that an AK that doesnt even have the natural rail mounting capability to mount two rings for an 8x, let alone a 4X ACOG, is actually functioning as a better long range rifle in this game than the M16A4.

Get a grip on your inventory and your realism game designers and actually make this a better game with more accurate realism, not less.

For instance, where are the binoculars?

And take the SKS and Mini14 out of the sniper arena and put them in the carbine arena, and then put in a Dragunov.

Asking for realism in relation to weapons in this game is pointless guys. They pretend that the mags work across different calibers and that the scopes magically change based off of what weapon they are attached to. They also pretend that different weapons using the same ammunition do different amounts of damage. Just have to accept their wonky ass idea of balance like every other game.
