Not able to get past the bloody "create your nickname page"

I just purchased the game and when I launched it I was asked to create a nickname..so I did and clicked confirm but then nothing happens...not even an error message...I made sure that the name was unique and everything but not sure if that's the problem...the game doesn't progress at all from that page...I waited for a long time... restarted the game and the computer...still nothing

Yeah its annoying, it done it for me, keep on refreshing or restarting your game, if not, verify your game files by right clicking PUBG, going into your properties, click FIles, then verify integrity of game files, then you should be good to go, but if that does not work then I cant help you :(

I tried verifying quite a few times actually... refreshed it a zillion times (sigh)....still nothing.. gonna try reinstalling.. but thanks mate for the help

I managed to find something that might be of use :)

1. Close your game.
2. Navigate to C:\Users\{UserID}\AppData\Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\
3. Delete the GameUserSettings.ini file
4. Verify your game files with Steam
5. Restart your game

Don't forget to put your user ID instead of {UserID} in the path above!

Hey of course. You mean you can't find that file in that location? Or you're not able to go into that location at all?

Or, do the settings to make all folder visible.

hey ive tried this but still didnt work for me my other game names are: Brotter, Drexller, Barcax, Trojan, Bimbus and Grendors
while Brotter was the only name that was taken in PUBG while rest showed prohibited name... what should i do any recommendation?
