I've a feeling it'll be a waste of time but I'll do it anyway...
I did do some tweaks/suggestions from the guides online. These may or may not help, mileage will vary.
I don't run any software so this helps a lot when gaming. Literally nothing on startup.
My pc which is a older i7 377K is OC'ed to 4.1 which is helping a lot. This game loves 4ghz or higher.
I don't have any problems gettin the game to run well. This issue specifically occurs as described for a duration of roughly 2-3 seconds at literally the most critical time when you 1st see the enemy and engage the fight.... and die.
I'd say software issue more than likely.
What do you have on startup or in the background??? All of this can be seen in the task maanger.
For example, this is exactly the same thing that sometimes happens when a grenade exlodes in a house and all the objects such as windows break at the same time - FPS drop, freezing, sound stuttering. This is extremely unlikely to be an issue with my already optimized, overkill PC.
Yea the game has issues. The grenade issues have been a known issue n are or have been looked into it. Been awhile since ive seen it.
I havent nor do i get fps drops or freezing. You get these constantly or just during specific events?
Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
This isn't happening at every encounter but as I mentioned in the original post, it only occurs when an enemy first appears at close range (< 10m?). I'll post if it continues to happen after updating to Geforce drivers to 391.01.
Have you tried windowed mode?
Try lowering some settings if you on Ultra.
I appreciate the help but I'm no longer going to reply to this thread.
I posted the issue on PUBG gameplay bug forum:
bug report[forums.playbattlegrounds.com]
There are other people having the same issue and some have even linked videos.
Why are you still talking about your HW and SW, I asked about the ingame settings.
If you can't answer simple questions cause you think you know, well apparently you don't cause you have issues and tons of others don't.
If it was driver related, a ton of people would have this issue, it's just not the case. While some may have a issue, it's in the minority not the majority. Most issues can easily be remedied by reinstalling drivers or simply don't use overlays or GFE.
Btw, I asked about software and you said your pc was fine now you mentioned overlays which is clearly software and overlays are known to cause issues with games.
There are poeple who know and people who think they know.
Got everything about low, except of antialiasing, I tried to change many video settings, but it has nearly without affect the performance. I think it is bad coded in game, hope they find the way how to fix it early.
