PUBG killed the Oceanic server playerbase again

About a year or so the Oceania playerbase died, when PUBG was seperated into map selection. It became impossible to get a game. Then I think they removed the Oceania server altogether.
2 weeks ago, I heard that oceania servers were back on PUBG and so was getting regular games with local servers and low pings. It was great to be able to play this game again. And now they have ruined it again. FFS

EDIT: It has been reverted back to normal. Everything is cool.

Playing on OCE servers doesn't matter, it's filled with Asians anyway.. it's fun getting 1 banged across the map from someone on DouTV. Trash game.

Well China actually killed OCE as most people stopped playing due to the massive number of cheaters from China ruining the game. Once the majority of the players in OCE stopped playing it didn't leave much reason for local servers.

I would agree with you that it was a major contributor.

That 2%, is more than a handful for Oceania. That is populated for us. Oceania is in the ass end of the world for the internet. The closest american server is around 150ping. The closest server and the one oceania got routed to, is SEA. That at best is 130ping.

That 2%, is more than a handful for Oceania. That is populated for us. Oceania is in the ass end of the world for the internet. The closest american server is around 150ping. The closest server and the one oceania got routed to, is SEA. That at best is 130ping.

but you still dont understand how incredible high player base you need for a game with 100 players each match and 20 different modes. its not like these 2% (2 years ago) queue up all at once for only 1 game mode/map.

squads i have no problem finding a game with 90+ people at most time of day, the only issue is the chinese cheaters atm

I noticed that when I jumped on later today, that they had patched the game again. And when I went on it was back to normal. Last night you could pick your map, it had an estimated queue time and everything. After the patch its gone.

Oh no, trust me man I do understand what you are saying. There were alot of Chinese players playing in Oceania back then too. But there was still a heck of alot of Australians and New Zealanders. Most MP games tend to die quite quickly here in Australia unless they are one of the more popular franchises. Being in Australia blows for online MP.

How do you get to choose a region and choose a single map? This sucks having to wait 3 minute just to have to join sea anyways
