Battleye Uninstall (To reinstall)
What I need
This technically is a problem persisting among all of my games that utilize battleye, I'm asking to know how to actually unistall the program entirely from my computer so I can reinstall it properly to (hopefully) fix my problem. (Other possibly solutions are accepted :D)
The Problem with Battleye
At first the problem was that battleye wouldn't start, for pubg it would just try to open, and then some 10 minutes later it wouldn't start (I never went past 10 minutes of waiting) however now (after some trial and error of trying to fix it) it is that it persistantly is saying that it has failed to install as well. It attempts to start it and is saying that it has failed to uninstall.
What I've tried to fix it
- I have tried to unisntall the game and reinstall it (duh)
- I have restarted my computer (yeet)
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled steam (again dur)
- I have gone into every single game, their binaries and all that, unistalled and reinstalled battleye for that specific game
- I have deleted the actual battleye folder in the game and then verified the cache to reinstate said folder
- I have ran an uninstall for battleye specifically to each of the games as I had for my first attempt (however I didn't reinstall, for what I was trying to achieve) after which I opened the command prompt and entered "sc delete Battleye" (am I typing it in wrong?) and then was in formed two different prompts after trying it two different times, first being "[sc] openservice failed 5" then below it, it had stated "Access denied" (I am adminstrator on my pc too so I was confused on that) the second time it had stated "[SC] OpenService FAILED 1060:" and then followed saying "The specified service does not exist as an installed service."
What I found out
for some reason the uninstall service for pubg and ark are actually unistalling or reinstalling the same file for some reason, "BEService.exe" I believe this to be the startup file (might be mistaken) but either way it shouldn't be the same file, and I don't know how to fix this *or* if this infact is the problem.

I believe that is everythng I tried, if you have any ideas, even if you think it's stupid please please please suggest it. Im all for stupid at this point. I have 0 access to about $300 worth of games right now because of this issue and it's pissing me off. I don't know wtf to be doing and I would deeply appreiciate it
- Sincerely
- An overstressed college student (aren't we all?!?)

You've done so much, I worry you may have caused some serious registry errors and conflicts. I can't even begin to walk you through that.

It sounds to me like this started with a misdiagnosis. I don't think BattlEye itself was the issue. More likely, I think, is that you have some sort of anti-virus or anti-malware that blocked it.

You may have to reinstall your OS. If you have a system restore point (or equivalent) set before all the trouble happened, try that.
All the changes I made were done in a way where I have saved the old untouched versions and thats what I have running rn

are you saying you have the same problem or that the problem will still persist?
