Low FPS in main menu and in game.
So today I started my game and I only get 9-13 FPS in main menu for some reason. Everything worked fine yesterday when I played and I have never had any issues with FPS before. Any ideas on how to fix this or what could be causing it?

it seems like since the last update i have gotten only 30fps in game when it was 55 last week, i didnt change any settings, they had to have made some big chages. not good.

BUMP. Same thing here, I was always well over 60fps (over 100 in the menus) and it's now giving me 12fps in the main menu. I tried troubleshooting PC issues and I've run out of options.

Here's what I've tried and with no luck:
Clearing up space on my Windows SSD
Clearing up space on my games SSD
Running Ccleaner for both temp files and registry check
Installing the most up to date GPU drivers
Checked for any dodgy processes or tasks running

PC specs before anyone blames those:
OS: Win7 64-Bit
CPU: i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Not overclocked)
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: GTX1070 8GB (Not overclocked)
Separate SSDs for OS and games
200Mb/s internet connection

As a frame of reference, I played GTAV last night with all of the settings (apart from one) set to their highest and was consistently getting 60fps.

Before weekend stable 50-60 fps. Yesterday and today 5-10 fps. Tried everything, still 5-10 fps...

So far I've tried the following:

Reinstalling the game
Updating drivers
Different launch configs
Ran CC Cleaner

PC specs since I forgot:
i7-5820K
GTX 970
32GB DDR3
Win 7 64bit

Other games I've tried are facing no issues.

The game might be running on your Integrated gpu. Go into nvidia control panel and click Manage 3d settings on the left hand panel. Check if your global setting is your Nvidia GPU.

That doesnt work with desktops.

Only laptops have that feature.

i have a msi ge62 with an intel 6700 and gtx 970m It as running around 25 fps until today and now it is around 50fps with setting on low and medium. cpu temps are a bit high yet, peaking at 90c.

Then all of my games would be running at a worse quality/lower FPS, however it's only PUBG that is not working properly.

So I've been doing some testing. Three different games that run on the Unreal Engine seem to clip off at 12 FPS. So it might have something to do with the drivers and UE

Well I got it to work by backrolling my drivers to an earlier version. I hope this thread helps someone with a similar problem

I was about to try the same but thought I'd go into the game as a benchmark first. It seems to have magically resolved itself for me.

The reason it lags so much is because of the optimization of the game, the map is so large and has so many objects and little details your game struggles to load them in quick enough. Happens with me all the time, but by the time I land, after like 10-20 seconds, everything is loaded in. Try typing in "msconfig" in the run menu in windows+r, go to boot, advanced options, click the "number of processors" box and click the drop down, and put how many cores is the most that is in the dropdown.

Got the same problem today...solid 12-13 fps, but not just in pubg but every other games, so backrolled to an older driver(nvidia...definitely fkd up this update) now every games are working well except this shtload pubg, still12-13fps

EDIT:
well seems like pubg mess up the whole nvidia driver...everytime I try to start it - no matter which version of the driver - got tons of error message that I don't have any gpu but intel integrated...even previously running games say I have no capable gpu

Your GPU is probably going to die soon.
