FPS drop when opening inventory?

When I open my inventory my FPS drops from 80-90 FPS to 30-40 FPS. I also drop some FPS (down to 50) when, for example, a car drives by.

My specs:
16GB ram
NVIDIA GeForce 1060
Intel core i5-6400 CPU

I don't have an SSD. Is that the problem? Although I didn't have any problems earlier, I got them today.

the game freezes a few moments every so often

Check the settings, you can turn off character animation and the lag will be gone. Your cpu could be faster though. Skylake or not, 3ghz is insufficient for this game (wasteful resource management).

It's wroking now. I disabled the "display character" setting and it's all working :)
