PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
Why dont hit indicators exist?
If I get shot why cant I tell where someone is shooting from. The bullet goes in an area, You feel it yes obviously, so why don't indicators exist...it's completely unrealistic.. I know game blah blah, but even the most basic of games that have guns have said indicators.

there are always those carebear plebs that whine over getting killed and wants the game to be easier, well good news for you sir, there is a pleb version of pubg comming out for xbox where all the scrubs can play it on inferior 32 bit systems so everything should be fair when it comes to hardware and controls. also most console players are the ones who like to sit on the couch, relax and play the game casually, i think you would fit right in with those type of people

Hmmm annnnnnnd why is a "casual" player a bad thing? What would you class a casual as? Someone who has a life?
Maybe you mean:
Pleb=casual=life?
Or someone with nothing=hardcore=no life?
Just trying to understand the context, and a wall of text, here.

Arma doesn't have hit markers, DayZ, H1Z1, etc.

Indicators are not realistic whatsoever, either.

Use the sounds to find who is shooting at you, like you would in real life.
ITS A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME DUDE.

On top of that, in this game it's way to common for hit receiving sound and ricochet to be LOUDER than the actual gun shot. Try this in real life, have person 1m away from you scream, while you try to understand what person 10 meters away from you is saying. I wish you best of luck.

Yes, and I want my experience to be as realistic as possible.

Also, you need to get your hearing checked
Hit indicators realistic? :steamfacepalm: :steamfacepalm: :steamfacepalm:

what use would flash hiders and supressers have then?
is getting first hit not big enough advantage for you? ain't it enough that they're saving you're ass when you're missing?
You can get the first hit without a suppressor. The Suppressors job is to make it hard to locate where shots are coming from so having hit markers would negate their biggest reason of being in the game.

The game is already setup with all the tools to identify where shots are coming from, you just have to learn how to use them.

well, then go ARMA? It's "As realistic as possible"?

Also, you gotta show me how you do that third person peaking around corners in real life, or how you jump down 3rd floor of building without breaking your legs :)

supressers and flash hiders wouldnt be useless if the shot misses or for masking your location from any other person but the one you hit. Maybe indicators arent the answer but there needs to be a more visual cue as to where you were hit from. My character is supposed to be human and can feel pain so I should have some clue where that suppressed shot came from.

Yeah 'cept after some practice you can tell where you have been shot from, unless it is very long range, or silenced at decent range. Even then, if the person is at a long range and you're quick to get to cover, it takes about 3 seconds to figure out where the shot was coming from if you were unsure, what difference would a hit marker make? 2 seconds faster to look in the general direction of the shot, sure, but you still need to get to cover in order to efficiently react...

Nah, I'm quite fine in PUBG.

You still need to check your hearing.
no it would hog up screen space and be a distraction. and getting hit by a bullet in real life would be too much shock to be able to rub it off and figure out where u been shot.

Life isn't always fair, games should. And with that in mind, in game where you die in 4 shot's it should be expected that people would like to know WHO is shoting them and WHERE from. "Who" can be ommited, "where" is a mandatory information. Don't you think its enough that you get an initial shot on person? Are you really so much of a loser that you can't take an even fight?

Why should every fight be even? If you want only even fights then go play 1v1 deathmatch. If someone gets the drop on you and you can't use the sound and visuals to find out where the shots are coming from and react accordingly then that's a fight you will lose and that's how it should be.

The game is fair in that every player has the ability to get the drop on another player. But it's up to the individual player to make those opportunities.

im not saying it bad im saying casual and enthuast players should be seperated from one another cause a casual player will always ruin experience for those who play the game to get better. casual players play for fun they dont care if they get better in a game. ever seen snoop dogg play battefield 1, yeah thats the type i would call casual player (not knowing wtf they are doing). there has been many games over the years that has had great potential but then got ruined cause of casual players whining. thats what i hate about casuals, they think everyone is like them. but luckilly xbox is announcing the most powerful console to date (it still sucks ass compared to pc) but thats a good thing for casuals i guess, they can have fun on that system while not annoy others with their "casual" thinking.

I'm pretty sure you'd notice the bullet hole and which direction it came from in real life, if you wenre't dead of course.. Since you can't feel pain or look at where the bullet hit you an indicator isn't that big of a stretch. Think of it as an indication of what leg just got shot instead of some generic life bar above your head showing your 'ouch' factor.

There' are also deaf people who play the game, so that kind of rules out some options.
