Getting tired of repetitive spawn-loot-die cycle
I am so tired of playing the game for 20-30 minutes, getting fully looted, not seeing anyone, and either getting shot eventually by someone I can't see or dying due to questionable hit detection to the first person I find. That literally feels like what happens everytime I play now. It jsut feels like a looting simulator and at the end of it someone mugs you and it's game over.

The time-practice ratio for this game is absolutely ridiculous where it feels like 30 minutes in-game time is equivalent to about 10 seconds of gun practice which is obviously just stupid. Teh game desperately needs some sort of DM mode simply so that you can get time efficient practice with the guns.

Has anyone got any suggestions how to improve that doesn't involve sinking thousands of hours into the game just so that I can get a couple of hours cumulative with the guns?
My aim is decent (i Just get no chance to use it) I understand the scopes, leading and bullet drop, but I just can't get any sort of foothold going in games as far as kills go. Dropping school or military isn't any good for practice since it's just a crap-shoot as to who get's what and how quickly.

Also I wouldn't mind playing duos or squads with people from EU, can't promise to use a mic though, although I do have one.

Well then change it up and do a few games where you land in high population areas and try to survive

it depends on your playstyle if you find enemies or not, if you are on purpose landing on low populated areas and you are avoiding places where you hear gun shoots then you will definitely not find anyone. Changing your playstyle will result in tense game and overtime you will be getting like 10-20kills each game - unless you die in first minutes.
Go to to the military base. If you go to some of the outside buildings that isn't the 3 main barracks. You can easily find an AR with a scope. You can stick around and get some decent mid range firefights going on.

Play a different game until you are ready to come back to this game and not find it boring. Grind at your own peril. This game is what it is.
It's not that I find it "boring" but it's frustrating that I am still basically doing the same as I was 20 hours ago, although I now loot better but still basically get no kills (largely becasue I never find anyone).

I also seem to have a tendancy to manuevour myself into winning positions but still somehow manage to lose the fight. It's quite annoying.

The point of the game isnt to kill anyone. It's to survive.
You can literally win it without killing anyone. Happened to a buddy of mine.
Usually the real killing starts at the very end.

Parachute to the center of the map. Or to military island. Get a gun and have shoot outs. It's the only way to practice. You will get a couple games in the same amount of time. If you get a kill each time you will get more bp than staying in a game for 30 minutes and not getting a kill.
I agree a DM mode would be pretty cool. I feel you its starting to feel repetetive. But what can you expect from a game like this? I guess if you want to have more fun playing instead of looting for 30 minutes try playing differently each game, passively, aggressively, or using differenent guns seeing how many kills you can get etc.
If you are in need of DM mode, you must visit games like BF1, OW or CSGO. Or get a friend(s) and do a duo(squad) landing into georgopol or military base or whatever big city.
If you are in need of solo gun practice, you must land in School, Military base or something as crowded as those. You will get a lot of fighting and a great loot if you manage to survive the process.
But you seem to favor more deserted areas which allows you to loot without getting hurt. Then the circle screws you over and you eventually step into someone's crosshair. You are basically complaining to us that your playstyle is not fun to you. Well, you should change it then.
Dropping into highly populated areas is no good for practice as I said in my original post. It is just a crap-shoot of who gets loot and who doesn't where over half the people in the area will simply die with zero loot instantly. That provides no quality practice. it's also equally time ineficient practice since it takes so long to actually requeue games as you will die well over half of the time without firing a shot.

The game desperately needs some sort of mode where you can get gun-time without wasting hour upon hour for literally seconds of practice. I don't think I've ever come across a game where the time-efficiency of the practice you get from playing is as bad as it is in this game.
Hey friend.
I found that to be an issue with the fun of the game during my first week. I then learnt that once I loot 1 decent weapon and have >100 bullets it's time to go. Don't spend 30minutes looting. Thats no fun, and it just lets everyone else get into spots to pick you off as you run for the circles.
You're spending too much focus on looting. You wont use 80% of what you pickup (ammo, meds, throwables) anyway, and the best armors only sometimes marginally slightly save your life from 1 extra bullet.... so why let it be the cause for your death.

The guns in this game are very easy to shoot people with. The game doesn't allow you much practice time to get a feel for the guns. Drop into the hotzones (mbase, school, georgepool) if you want shooting practice. You will die a lot. You will probably get mad a lot. But at least you will practice shooting. Go in with the mindset of practice rather than winning.

These two things, made the game much more fun because no one wants:
running simulator 2017 now with lootables.

Make sure to be playing another game or two on the side. You don't want to only play PUBG, you burn the fun out of very fast by playing match after match after match.

Best of luck on the battleground.

Then dont play the game then LOL
Even if you drop into semi-populated areas you often don't find anyone or can't engage because you have no real idea where they are, and then the game just moves on as normal where you die 20 minutes later to a random with about 5 seconds of shooting practice for your efforts.
Dropping into mass populated areas is just a waste of time, you learn nothing.

I just hope they get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DM mode or practice mode out ASAP because it's basically unplayable as it is right now. I've got 30 hours in this right now I think and I would estimate that I have fired guns for a total of no more than 60-120 seconds. It's a ridiculous ratio.
You only played 31 hours, try to play more and watch out when you're open and scout the area where people may be hiding in the cover before going out. And remember the places where cars are. good luck bro.
