Fix rain or remove it.
Rainy maps eats our frames. with a GTX 1080, i7 7th gen @ 4,7ghz and 16gb RAM im down to 30-35 FPS when it is raining. 75+ without.

And this is with every single setting on Very Low

Something else is wrong, and it's not the rain.

On my 4790k 980ti I still get well over 100fps on rain maps (all settings ultra except shadows and foliage). Played all night last night, and it seemed like almost every other map was a stinking rain map, and I had no issues with it whatosever.

Nothing change for me when there is rain.

That's just something wrong happening to you.
I seem to get more frames on rain maps than on normal maps

I got a gtx 1070 and I get the same amount of fps in the rain. 85 to 100. You should go to nvidia control panel, go to 3DS settings, add PUBG, PROGRAM SETTINGS, Add pubg, go to thread optimization, put it on ON. And turn off put everything under performance rather than quality, and vysync off, and basically turning off any quality type textures and shaders off or under performance. The game will run a heck of a lot smoother, and still play great under ultra in the rain or no rain.

Try these settings, this is exactly what I use.

antitripic filterting off
antialiasing fxaa off
antialiasing gamma correction off
antilalising mode off
antialiasing settings none
antialiasing transparency OFF
cuda-GPUs ALL
maximum pre-render frames 4
multi-frame sampled AA(MFFA) OFF
power managemend mode PREFER MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE
shader cache OFF
texture filtering antinstropic ON
texture filtering negative LOD bias ALLOW
texture filtering quality High performance
texture filtering -trilinear optimization OFF
Thread optimization ON
triple buffering OFF
vertical sync OFF
virtual reality pre-render frames 1

im running gtx 970 mate im hitting in the 50s to 60s when raining on high, must be your system mate

I love the rain. Weather effects always drain a little fps on all games, but it's not that much of a factor. If it is, you might need to dial down your quality settings (including in Control Panel, if you set anything)

That's weird, on high I get 90+ FPS constantly even in rain.

If you're running reshade, don't.

I have the same problem here. I run the game on a gtx 960 and when it`s rainning i get 15-25 fps, without the rain i get 45-70. Remove this thing if it does not work okay.

There are only a handful of people who get low FPS issues in rain though. They shouldn't have to remove rain effects because they're wonderful.

Just do what i do, everytime i join a rain lobby i just exit and join a new one, not even because of the fps drops cause i dont have that problem, i just cant stand the stupid rain sound!

Yeah something is wrong, I have a i7 6700K @ 4.8 and a GTX 1080 too and rain has minimal impact on my FPS.
Comrade Brendonian 9 AGO 2017 a las 6:14 a. m.
Oh, this thread again. NOTY it doesn't need to be removed. The sound needs to be fixed a little yes, but that's all. Just because you don't like it or having problems with it doesn't mean it should be removed just for your own benefit. It works well for a lot of other people and a lot of other people would like it to stay.
