Buying Headphones for PUBG, Need advice!?!?!

Hello,
So a few reasons why id like to get a headset.
1. i imagine duo and team is a requirement or atleast alot more fun!
2. Probably most important is the all important in game sound i.e. shots , footsteps, vehicles etc...

Like previous posters , i have no idea where im being shot from sometimes, no hit box and no idea where sound of bullet came from.

ive heard that headphones are great in this regard.

People are saying get stereo or get 7.1 surround sound. I have no idea what to look for.

Has anyone any advice on this, im sure im not the only one!
Also,
could you recommend some headphones please. Preferably wireless/bluetooth (no cord)

my hyper x cloud 2 are cheap now, i can wear them for hours and are good (not the best tho) ;)

Don't bother with 7.1 headphones as most of the time its just simulated with software. I've not even seen a headphone with 7.1 drivers. At most 5.1 has 5.1 drivers but your trading in 2 big drivers, stero, for 4 small drivers and 1 medium one.

The current ones am using are HyperX Cloud Revolver.

I use cheap G230, they work better than a lot of 7.1 headsets apparently.

hyper x cloud or hyper x cloud 2, i person have 2 pairs of the hyper x clouds (originals) and they are great, they sound great and they fit comfortably all day long if needed, good build quality as well.

never used usb's or wireless, always used 3.5mm jacks.

Best headset I ever got was The turtle beach px22. When set up correctly they allowed you to put voip onto its own audio channel. This means you can have any voice chat and game independent from each other.

USB less conflicts, easy to use, its just so much better.

i grew up using 3.5mm, also usb does have conflicts, not going to name the list but there are less problems with 3.5mm than usb in my experience.
