Disable controller
I'd post about this in the thread that already exists about this on the PUBG forums, but I'm not creating an account on an unsecured site.

So, I'll say it here: we need the ability to disable controller detection. I (and others) use a controller+headset for voice comms, and this creates a huge headache when playing this game, because the UI for the controller takes over, regardless of whether or not the controller is actually used at all. Pressing ESC on the keyboard brings up a prompt to push Xbox buttons. All controls displayed are Xbox buttons.

I don't need my controller for the game, at all. I need it for Discord. The game does not need to be aware of the fact that my controller is plugged in, let alone giving me controller-related prompts.

There is a workaround, but it's definitely not permanent: go into your Device Manager and disable your controller. It will ask you to reboot. DO NOT REBOOT. Your controller will not acually be disabled until you reboot, but PUBG will not detect it. So, voice comms through programs like Discord will function, but PUBG's interface will not act screwy as I have described here.

Full controller support has not yet been implemented. When it is implemented, I'm sure a button to disable the controller will also be added.

No. You don't half-implement features and leave the worst bugs it creates unsquashed until the features are finished. That's not how development works.
heyyy i made this thread too

No, you're commenting unnecessary rhetoric. "It'll be done when it gets done." No kididng. Thanks for the update. I'm sure it'll be done when it's done, too.

More to the point, I'm not asking for "full controller support". I'm asking for a way to disable the half-finished version that's there now.

Yes, the ability to disable the controller will most likely come when full controller support is implemented. That's it. I know you aren't asking for full controller support but that's the way it is.
It's the way it is because the devs were lazy. So the "temp" solution is to just unplug. Which. Is pretty dumb. But. Whatever I guess. Have yourself & others mass bug devs about it probably.

Well where is it? We're still waiting.
LOL devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about this game anymore with little things like this, it'll never get added/fixed meanwhile fort + many other BR's had it day 1 nice
