you can build a pc for like 800 that would run this game on max settings at 60fps.

My laptop was only 1000 and i get 100+ fps constantly with most things on ultra

If building a new computer today, I would go with a R5 1600 / i5 7600 and a GTX 1060 6GB / RX 580 8GB (or higher). You can go lower and still play many games but that is the sweet spot for price for performance at the moment. A G4650 or R3 CPU will still play current games good enough with a mid-range graphics card, but it won't last as long before it needs upgraded. Any time you build a computer, get as much bang-for-buck (emphasis on the bang) as you can afford. It serves you much better down the line when you don't need to upgrade as often.

Why would you buy something that would be bare minimum? Why not save up and invest in something you will be able to use for alot longer?

I just dont see the logic in buying a cheap rig. I have been in this position where I needed a new system, but I saved up the money and I am much happier than if I would of just went with what was inexpensive.

Ryzen 3 1200 is only $109 and overclocks well. It's rediculous for that price point if you can't spare the extra ~$100 on an r5 1600.

You can go intel but you will have to buy a new motherboard whenever you upgrade (Ryzen is brand new so the motherboard socket will be used much longer)

GPUs are pretty dificult to choose right now because all the good ones are extremely overpriced. If you really want to go cheap then I think a 1050ti can probably handle this game @ low settings. An rx 580 or gtx 1060 (6gb) would be highly reccomended if you can get one at a decent price. Those cards are supposed to cost around 200 to 250, but you will probably have to pay 300-400+ unless you wait for prices to die down.

dont go lower than a nvidia gtx 1070,,,,, a 1080 would be perfect

Dont go bare minimum, ever... wait, save for something better, youll be happier in the long run 100%

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10

Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 30 GB available space

I run it ok enough with a 3770 and 660 while waiting on new gpu. Still requires restart after every game but it is playable. I don't really care about the "ermagerd motion blur and god rays etc" so having things on low doesn't bother me to max fps.
