Why is armor so useless?
Level 1/2/3 body armor has yet to stop more than 1 bullet, I can still be oneshot with a shotgun no matter what level of armor... I really fail to see its effectiveness.

Probably stems from the lazy design, instead of having guns with penetration PU just did flat damage reduction except he kept the values sub 60%.

EDIT:

Level 1 : 30%

Level 2 : 40%

Level 3 : 55%

Depends if they actually shoot you where the armour is.

That said, I find armour levels only stop 1 extra shot - generally speaking.

Legs and arms have the same damage values as the chest? Jesus I thought only Ubisoft could be that stupid.

No they don't you take significantly less dmg getting hit in the legs, shoulders, arms or hips. Go watch some videos on how damage and armor works in this game.
Have fun

I've survived one point blank shot from a shotgun once, it actually happened just today.

I don't know if it was because he didn't connect all of his shot or if he shot my feet, but I was still at about 5% health left.

If there is a different percent on limbs it seems to be very very small.

Random video fo a buddy doing personal tests instead of an official video?

We all know helmets can take a shot, armor adds a minimal amount of protection, what are the actual values?

The video is also from April, there's been some heavy patching since then, I wouldn't view it as reliable information.

Well, you see shotgun doesn't fire 1 bullet. It fires 9 pellets. So if you wanna be smartass about it, you aren't "one shotting" anyone with single shotgun shot.

Here's some datamined statistics for you, have fun with the math.

The "shot" from the shotgun is "one shot", a single "shot" from the gun will kill you.

Yes there is a spread, I never said there wasn't.

Thank you for giving better information than a random video of Youtube.

For the purpose of the thread a single shell is really 1 shot.
It's one pull of the trigger, etc.

As for the damage player body takes:
Head 250%
Torso 100%
Limbs 50%

One jumping punch can destroy a lvl 1 helmet. :steamhappy:

No, what I meant was it's pretty difficult to see where you get hit unless you survive and check your armour after. But then you didn't die so weren't one shot. Catch 22 really.

Badly explained I know!

25x9 I didn't know the developer was insane lmfao.

Is there even a damage drop off from range?
Vodor Jul 25, 2017 @ 6:21am
Yes from memory about 100m maybe more for assault rifles, I think things like the AKM will take 2 shots to knock off a hat at that range instead of 1 when it's closer.

Honestly it's so minor you may not always notice they shoot twice. I've used shadow play a few times because of "no way!" Moments only to find they had the gun on full also and actually fired 2 shots not 1
