Camping in PUBG and avoiding other players
It seems that there is a general consensus that the best way to play the game is to avoid players until your geared, camp whenever not looting, and kills arent really all that important till the very end when the circle is too small to avoid it. Its always better to not take shots you dont have to, so as not to give away your position. I have no problem with any of this. I have over 100 hours in game and enjoy it thoroughly.

With that said, I spend 20 min of each 25 min round essentially playing a solo game, ignoring everybody, looting houses, camping the circle. All things that you are told to do to get to endgame. The problem is, whats the point of playing a game that actually only has 5 min of gameplay per 20 min. How is it considered quality gameplay when most of the game is about not playing, but waiting tactically. 75% of the game is looting and waiting, maybe more. Is that supposed to be the fun part? Waiting?

I feel like the game could get boring after another hundred hours or so just because of how much of the game isnt even playing. Any thoughts?

Proof? wanna show me agressive gameplay where its all run and gun and still win? 20+ kills but also top 10?

There are so many of these games on YouTube... i'm wondering how you have never seen one.

here is one

Cool, so it can be done. I figured with luck it could be. Now show me it working several games in a row as a viable tactic. Cause im willing to bet these games are rare, and that as an actual viable tactic going all out usually just gets you killed by revealing your position.

Theres also alot to be said for level of skill, you cant base the games mechanics on the 10% of best players. Is being agressive also viable for the other 90%? the average players? the slightly above average? the bad? If its only viable for the top 10% of players is it really a viable strategy for the game as a whole?

Also i dont watch others gameplay, which might be why i havent seen games like that.

It is kinda weird that you say you have no problem with playing the "waiting game", but you don't consider the waiting game fun. You actually only call the fighting portion of the game "gameplay" while the hiding and waiting and looting, as Not "gameplay"

Wouldn't you enjoy a normal shooter more then? One where you just keep shooting and respawning instantly after each death? You would get 100% "gameplay" as you call it. 100% nonstop shooting action.

You can also just try playing the game supper aggro. Try to get all the kills ever. Don't do any waiting. You won't get as many top 10 finishes, but you will get more of the "gameplay" that you actually enjoy.

I never argued that it was better to go play super aggro and try to win with 20 kills. Because its not. That was some other dude you were arguing with. If that guy in the video would wait around and play more strategically he could surely have a better win%. But his videos probably wouldn't be as fun. But you know you don't have to try for the best win% ever.... if fighting is what is fun for you, do that more, and do less waiting.

No one in the TOP 1,000 camps. Learn to play the game scrubs.
The only reason people camp in house is because they are noobs.

I have no problem standing in line , but i dont consider it fun either. Does something have to be fun for us to put up with it? I do it because it leads to intense top ten fights which can be fun but last all of a few minutes as compared to the rest of the game. Would you consider standing in line having a bank transaction? Your still in the bank? No its not a transaction till you get to the front of the line and actually interact with someone. Standing in line does not constitute a transaction and standing in a house does not constitute gameplay imo. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Yes i play and own several. I do get more enjoyment out of them, which is why i wanted to bounce this stuff off other people to get their opinon. Are you implying that i should switch games when im just asking for opinions?

"You can also just try playing the game supper aggro. Try to get all the kills ever. Don't do any waiting. You won't get as many top 10 finishes, but you will get more of the "gameplay" that you actually enjoy."
Im aware of this. But more often then not ill get in a firefight with more than one person, or other mitigating factors of being super aggresive will get in the way, like have almost no guns before running into battle. This added to my very much average skill gets me killed playing that way. which is why i wanted to know how others felt about it, which i already explained.

Any proof on that? Not saying you're wrong but id like something to back it up. also, no need to be rude, it solves nothing.

It just proves that he doesn't know much about the game, you can have 20 kills per game and never win, yet you can have 2 kill per games and win, that's just how the game is. I think he hates camper so they call them noobs, raging is easier than improve.

Yeah ok. i kinda wanted your opinion on how you play, and how it makes you feel and why. Hence the lines "I feel like the game could get boring after another hundred hours or so just because of how much of the game isnt even playing. Any thoughts?" but you can just sit there and tell me to play however to get the most enjoyment out of it. I already do play to get the most enjoyment out, i was just wondering how it was affecting other people and their thoughts on the matter.

Just go watch videos on You Tube or TwitchTV. All the best players are moving around.
You won't get better hiding in a house with a shot gun. That's just logic. The more gun fights you get into the better you get at shooting people. That is a natural progression. Simple Logic.
This game has been out long enough now, good players have adapted. Also the final 2 - 3 circles
will most likely force you out side anyways.

I really don't care how you play. In fact I want you to camp. Please keep making it easier for
people like me to win games.

In many cases I enjoy the waiting. This is why I said what I did. Sitting on a rooftop near a spot where enemies need to pass to get into the zone, is fun for me. Waiting for peoples to kill. I can't say I enjoy the looting portion of the game. I like to loot for as little as possible, and then loot corpses.

Well you wanted opinions. I didn't say "you don't like the game! then GTFO". I just said that normal shooters might fit your playstyle better.

Yes, it gets you killed... but its still fun. It doesn't all have to be about making the top 10 every time. My rating fell immediately when I started playing a bunch of games and just dropping in Pochinki with a ton of other players... but the games were very amusing, and I was definitely not playing the waiting game.

So no proof, just "go watch youtube"? No stats? No win percentages saying that aggro is better? anything? Just go watch youtube? Howbout showing me a youtuber whos win percentage is high that plays aggresive every round. Just one? With stats you can prove and prove that he plays legit aggro all the time?

Nobody said anything at all to the contrary of this, so these points are kinda useless. Your just talking into the air about stuff nobody mentioned.

Also if only best players are moving around, then its not really a viable strategy for the game, just for top tier players. thats probably less than 1% the total player base.

Saying things with the express purpose of tilting people is toxic af. Why you gotta act that way. Does it make things better?

This had nothing to do with the point you were following it with. I was talking about what constitutes gameplay and you switched to what you enjoy doing. Ok well that was the original point of the post so i guess it flies but try to stay in one place with your argument would you? Good to know what you enjoy and why. The whole reason for the thread was to get other opinons and how people play.

"Well you wanted opinions. I didn't say "you don't like the game! then GTFO". I just said that normal shooters might fit your playstyle better."
Yee but i wanted opinions on THIS game and THESE playstyles, not the opinion that i might like other games more. Thats not what the thread was even about. Again, stay on topic please.

Yeah but dying and spending 50% of my game on plane or in lobby isnt really gameplay either. You can be in game and not be experiencing gameplay and spending most of my game time that way seems a waste. it might be boring but at least its not wasted when i camp and go for top 10 with 5ish kills. However it is refreshing to see somebody who can enjoy that type of immediate kill or be killed gameplay and then waiting for your next chance for several minutes.
