Vision range
Quick question for the more experienced fellas.
Is there some other option other then screen scaling that increases the vision draw distance because i see streamers spotting people at like 900m but i can barely see people at like 400-500m and i'm running this in 4k on most settings ultra.

Screen scaling only renders the game at a higher or lower resoutlion then your monitors resoutlion.. Distance in game only effect foolage , everyone renders in at the exact same distance even if you had the draw distance ultra low... They are prob scopeing you ... Scope doesnt render grass at x distance so it makes it easier to spot people.
your post processing is adding depth of field and therefore limiting your distance vision.
Everyone that wants to play this competetivelty needs to turn a few settings down to the floor to be able to get the edge.
That explains some things but what i mean for example, i was watching a YT video from this Grimmz dude and he saw someone running around at like 800m without scoping or anything. Just by alt-looking in the general direction and i tried it out, for me people at that distance don't even come close to appearing on normal screen

If you play a ton or sit close to the screen you can see people at that range. Ive seen a guy running that looked about the size of a - < but verticle running but wasnt able to hit the shot. I think i had a 4x or a 2x scope. But I was very far away you just have to look hard and have 0 distractions.

Alright, let me type it out since appearantly "i tried it out" went missing in the aether and people just disregard it.
With i tried it out i ment, i literally had a friend at that distance and i couldn't see him at all with the 4k resolution so i'm asking how does that streamer see him on a presumably 108ßp screen.

Grimmz isn't a good example for normal sight. That guy's eyes run at 600 Hz. He also seems to know what every model looks like, because he can pick out when 1 or 2 pixels are out of place and a person is there. He also is often scouring the distant area for people. Watching him, he will find everyone hiding behind a rock at 600m but miss a guy running 20m away because of his extreme focus.

Edit: also it should be easier to see distant people at 1080, since the pixels are bigger. At 4k you can draw something fainter and finer. Also, things like post processing and high AA can process something faint out of existance.

So you post process on high? I have it on high already. I thought I can render things longer distance ?

I get what you mean even though Hz is not a messurement for human eyes xD
On the flipside though, yes a 4k monitor can draw finer lines but shouldn't a 1080p monitor more or less not show anything if the image is too small for a pixel?
If a 1080p monitor shows 2 pixels, a 4k monitor should show like 6 in it's place so that shouldn't be a factor.

The point i was making is that on his stream/YT video or w/e, people are showing up at these 700-900m distances while there is literally nothing on my screen.
I'm pretty sure that's a settings thing and not a resolution thing
turn all your settings but texture and effects to low....and gain the eagle eyes of someone that plays 8 hours+ 5 days a week.....

I will try the settings thing but the eagle eye thing isn't gonna work since (like i said) there is literally nothing showing up on the screen, not even a single pixel
most people dont spot someone lying in prone in a bush at that distance but eyes are pretty good at detecting movement
