What is the best Assault Rifle in the game?

I've recently been getting into PUBG and I tried to search for what is the best AR but i've just been seing stats of the weapon but no outcome or answer.
Can anyone tell me or is it personal preference?

It's preference for the most part but most people will say scar or m4 depending on how you use it. The scar is very stable with less attachments so can be used at full auto at longer distances the m4 is better at sniping medium range and fairly good at close full auto.

I prefer the m4 personally as it's a good balance between close and long range.

Depends what you want it for but for general all round use the Scar is most people's go to AR. It allows for full auto when getting up close and has good accuracy when single shotting at medium range. The AK is super inaccurate at medium range along with the m416 but great up close. The M16 can be tricky to get used to because it has no full auto fire, but is really accurate at medium range too.

If I had to choose it would be the scar for me. With a nice 4x scope, of course.

Yeah, if we are considering the groza(which I wasn't since it'st only a care package) that would be my goto...it's more stable than an ak and fires faster.

The M16 is the best at long range becuase of it's faster bullet speed, the M4 is the best at quickly bursting people down because it has the highest rate of fire, the SCAR-L is all around good at range and CQC and finally the AK is the best AR at plain damage but has slowest bullet speed so it's okay at CQC and mid ranges but should never be used at long range.

The M16 in burst fire mode can obliterate at close range though. it feels like it is the fastest firing AR when you time the bursts right.

Rapid bursts are only really good at close range and with the over the shoulder aim, not sighted aim.

Fully modded M4 is my favorite. Power wise, the Groza is like a suped up AKM.
