Anti-Cheat/Abuse of Desync
So because this being said was "derailing" someones thread about the update, I will post my own thread.

The SEA server isn't going to stop the Asian players from playing on the US servers and desyncing around the map. There are dozens of videos on youtube right now of players watching other players running in a single spot just to have a player teleport to them and blast them with a shotgun. I myself have played on the Foreign servers (anything but US) and have had many players claim that I just teleported to them and killed them, when on my screen I ran right at them using a shotgun. Until that abuse can be solved, addition of servers will not mean a thing to players who are wanting a cheap win, beacuse even a cheap win is still a win. Gotta get them points right?

Also has anybody brought up at all to update the anti-cheat?

I right now can post multiple sites that have working hacks that are "undectable" by battle-eye.

These are the same sites that make cheats for ARK, H1Z1, Rainbow Six Siege, Insurgency, ARMA 2/3, DayZ. All of these games have one big freaking downfall! The sheer amount of cheating in the games themselves because Battle-Eye is so bad! It has gotten so bad that many have fled these games in mass exodus to other titles with a more secure online gaming experience.

PUBG is new enough that people aren't hacking in the excess that they are in CSGO, H1Z1, etc. But give it enough time and you will have a severe problem on your hands.

Anti-cheating is a long, persistent fight and we have committed ourselves to win it. Yes, we are obviously aware of this issue and working hard to improve detection and protection. That's offtopic though so I'll just leave you this, regarding cheating players:

No one is allowed to comment or reply to that post? How am I suppose to call out how incredibly low 25000 players is when there is a claimed 4 million+ copies sold? So 0.625% of players are cheating? I find that very laughable when games like Overwatch, CSGO, etc. ban that in a day. Hell I would even call those numbers asinine.

I would also like to say that discussing the anti-cheat in an update thread is not derailing the thread, because it is so desperately in need of an update!

Undetectable is a relative term.
It's undetectable until it is...
There is always a front line and anticheat must continually catch up.
If you're worrying about that hacks are ahead of anticheat, that's the eternal struggle.
The real issue arises from when hacker sub-population is significant within the total population.

No serious issue for now. let them keep feeding the coffers with successive ban waves.
Edit:
the biggest tragedy is that hacks actually push the price of these types of games up to discourage multiple accounts due to banhammers :(

Successive Ban waves? Its been almost 4 months since the release of the game and only 25k cheaters have been caught? Are you claiming that cheating isn't a thing in this game?

Also the claim of "it being an eternal struggle" is laughable. Battle-eye has always been miles behind the cheating community and will continue to be that way until Game Companies/Developers stop entrusting the security of their online community to them. My friend with Cheat Engine can bypass Battleye and has been doing so since Arma 2.

So battleye is so good that some college kid with a free program can bypass them undetected?

I just wanted to clarify that yes, your post would have started a derail on the other thread and since its title was "1.7GB for 8 fixes?" which has nothing to do with anti cheat then yes it is advisable you create your own thread which you did and I'm happy you have followed my advice. Desperation doesn't need to lead into a mess. Now I will smoothly stop with the offtopic. :steamfacepalm:

I feel you mistook the underlying message. Whether there has been only one or many 'ban-waves', every hacker killed off is another opportunity of sales for the devs, and a victory for the legitimate players.

Mate, i'm not defending battle eye, but you gotta understand that anti-cheat, the same as flu-vaccines; anti-piracy and DRM, is a REACTIVE not PROACTIVE defensive strategy, despite it being a PREVENTATIVE measure (caps for emphasis, please dont interpret as patronising). AP is significantly proactive i'll give up, but a good DRM (lol) will only be pro-active up until the first contact with attempts to breach it.

If battle-eye is a poor product, then so be it. I've had this game for a week or so and have not experienced any problems, even end up in top10 more times than not. That said, my perspective is biased due to this fact, perhaps more than yours. But being a long-time FPS/MP-gaming enthusiast, i can say with a degree of authority that hackers are always present, and no matter the product, the anti-cheat by definition is forced to react to the threat and will rarely if ever be able to pre-empt it.

it's homeostasis 101 bro.

If the game is so young, then just give it time to mature. The devs can only operate as fast as a human can, between brainstorming, coding and testing, i'm sure that considering hte most appropriate anti-cheat software is only yet another burdeon on their total capacity.
