Bullet drop and RnG
So in real life right, you can take my word for it i've been in real combat, we zero our weapons to negate bullet drop. With iron sights and especially with scopes. This isn't a fun thing in real life nor is it any fun in a video game. I think they should do away with it personally, this game is far from an accurate sim so just get rid of it already for the sake of fun.

RnG, this is something I feel like our Russian friends made up and thought would be a cool dynamic communism mechanic they could add... farthest from fun you could get. It would be nice if the drops were random yeah but as long as it was balanced and equal. The way RnG works instead is to give certain players an advantage over others. Get rid of it already, unless you can make it work properly. I only thought it would be fun and cool is you could make the drops random but not to give me a disadvantage 90% of the time on loot/hit ratio.

haha I love it, does that still apply to today's Russia?
The bullet drop in this game, while not realistic, adds to the skill level of the game when you're shooting at range. You don't really need to adjust for drop at all with ARs and snipers until you're at pretty significant ranges, which isn't inaccurate if I'm interpreting this graph properly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:M855_drop_during_25-meter_zeroing_trajectory_M16A2_M4.jpg
(although I really can't claim to know much about guns in real life).

As for RNG, yeah it can definitely suck if you and another person run into the same house and he finds a shotgun while you find a stun grenade, but you can largely avoid this by avoiding cities and other high loot areas. There's very much a risk vs reward thing going on there, and making all of the drops equal in all situations would take away from the tension in my opinion
Go play CoD if you don't like bullet drop.

Nice minions profile picture, i believe you've been in real combat
But really though, you might as well make a post saying

"I've been in real life combat, killing people in real life isn't fun. You should remove it from the game, no guns please"

No, you zero a weapon so that point of aim will be point of impact at a given distance.

No. Bullets rise to line of sight before they fall, bullet drop isn't the only variable.

But that is exactly what he said. You zero the weapon to account for the bullet vertical flight to make it (likely) hit where the crosshairs are at that range. You and he are saying the same thing.
