Perhaps the S12K should take abit of a damage deduction to make other shotguns more viable, and like someone else said, perhaps more recoil, doesn't even have as much recoil as a burst fire M16 xD
I dunno man, in my experience its been a near one shot every time, and that was way into the game aswell.
I know armour obviously makes a difference but my point still stands that the S12K does seem to be the more go to option as overall it does so much damage, and the pump action seems to do less or about the same.

That much is true, but i've been close range with a Pump and aimed torso high, and the guy survived and killed me as i was pulling back the pump, but i've then used an S12K torso low and killed the person.
I know armour comes into account but when i used the Pump is was near the beginning of the game and the next game with the S12K was about 10-15 mins in.
Just seems like even with shorter range, which also doesn't seem to be by much, you would still win with the S12K cos of semi auto if you were in the same firefight from the same range.
