FOOTSTEPS
Pls do something with the footsteps..i am a top 1-2k player solo with decent arma experience and so on..it just is impossible that everytime i am in a house switching attachements from guns for example i get killed from an enemy standing at the window 3 meters away from me with a premium headset on very very loud volume..or on open field i kill somebody and one kills me 2 seconds later from 10meters behind..fix the footsteps..you cant hear anything..in arma3 you heard it if somebody was 2 houses away running 2 your house...it just give low skilled players the opportuninty to interupt a gunfight without even hearing them coming. they would be 2 shy to go in themselfs but they come if a fight starts or somebody enters a small building because you cant hear them coming...
i love the game and the frequent updates, but the footsteps and the performance should be the only 2 goals right now to work on..these 2 are so key for a good experience

Cool story bro. the game has only just released to the public. There is a road map they are fixing sounds in almost every mini patch they come out with.

Its not a secret, Im telling you to go there to be kept up to speed and not make useless posts like this.

Wasn't a patch just pushed this morning to address this? I hear it's too loud now from some and from others it's great.. I'll be trying it soon..

The only issue I have with foot steps is sometimes I cannot directly decern if its behind me or infront of me... another time, It sounded like someone was inside, but it was outside, but he was walking on the material as the floors on the inside... so it was prolly mb

i reckon footsteps are great now, just cause its more realistic

Footstep ... sounds of gravel crunching on the 2nd floor of a Wood Floor house with Carpet is not accurate. Cannot accurately tell if someone is walking outside or on the same floor in a house. Please set the Footstep sound effect accurately to the surface.

Great.. now we can hear the FootSteps... but what surface are they walking on... I shouldn't hear gravel if im in the grass. And someone shouldn't hear me on a Carpet on the Second floor of a House, let alone a loud gravel crunching sound from my feet when I'm on a wood floor, in crouch position (free looking, pivoting in a circle). There must be an element of subtle and sneak.

Here's another option... Footware Sounds and Speed.
Combat boots: Run fast on terrain (faster than HiTops), but louder in house.
HiTop Trainers: Run fast on streets and in house (faster than Boots), but slower on terrain, and quieter than comabt boots on all surface.

Yes... I know, you'll have to add the speed modifier for the Boost (Energy Drink) for each footware.

Its interesting. THey lowered the volume of the crouch... then it seems they raised the volume of the crouch again along with the footsteps
