Zeroing distance?

First time playing this game, so can anyone plz explain to me what is zeroing distance and how to measure distance in game when aiming an enemy far away? Thank you

Measure to the best of your estimations comapred to real life.

Zeroing, you do that by uping the distance put in your scope so you can shoot far without lifting your rifle, relying on the little ticks on the vertical line.

Not too sure but when you equip a 4x or 8x scope they have 2 and 6 and lines under the Aim which I assume is for different drops for the distances

That's why when I shot enemy with the 4x and 8x scope , alway miss haha.
