Any advice for shooting long range?

I have problems shooting at enemies >50 meters ahead. I'm prerry sure I hit, however I see no blood and almost always got killed by the enemy. On the contrary I almost always kill an enemy in close range even with pistol, so it seems not to be "reaction" problems.

So..any advice how to better aim and shoot on long range?

Lead the target and compensate for range. Also this might throw some people off, the Assault rifle is always zero'd in at 100 meters, something to consider.

Well, so basically I need to do exactly the same as in Battlefield? Aim higher for long range (well, I'm already doing it with no luck)

You don't need to aim that much higher in this game unless at really extreme ranges. Bullet drop is somewhat minimal. You do need to however lead your targets quite a bit.

Im the other way I cant get kills up close but my long range is awesome

I have the same problem. I can shoot short range very well but on mid and long range nothing happened to the enemy. My last enemy was so bad, that i shoot him about 10-12 times. I treid chest and head. No blood ... nothing.
Finally he killed me after switching his empty weapon to pistol. What about the PgUp and PgDwn keys? Never used them.

just lead the target there is little to no bullet drop in this game
and for long range tap the trigger dont go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ i mean auto lol

Oh damn. Just realised that. Explains why it seems my shots go over their head.

if there was no blood then you might not have been hitting him, or it could be a glitch of some kind. Maybe you THOUGHT you were hitting the guy, but you were really out of the effective range of the gun. Just a thought.

you can see that in the inventory menu if you move the cursor / arrow over the gun

You can't, lol. They're being facetious. I'm betting you have a 416 which isn't an smg. The UMP doesn't have a 'shoulder thing' and the Uzi can't use optics.

Ok ok. I searched on a wiki [battlegrounds.gamepedia.com] and found out what i used in this fight.

UMP9 [battlegrounds.gamepedia.com]
4x ACOG Scope [battlegrounds.gamepedia.com]
Angled Foregrip [battlegrounds.gamepedia.com]

I now see the range of the UMP. I was too far away to my enemy.
