Windows 7

Ive tried alot of things to launch PUBG, but it wont work. Is it because of my windows 7? Most people I asked have windows 10 and it works.

Same, I'm on win 7, I have no problems with other games. This one wont even launch. My steam status says I'm playing it. then it says Im just online again. Absolutely nothing happens. Totally pissed right now..

Windows 7 64-bit here... I play PUBG just fine with no problems (other than the lag and server stability issues everyone suffers from).

Make sure you also Verify the intrgrity of the game cache, and if nothing works.... Time for a re-install bud.

got sp1 and tried to do it twice, reinstalled twice and verified

I asked a friend who I was pretty sure was on Win 7 and he confirmed, Windows 7 64-bit and he plays PUBG fine. It must be some driver, missing files, or some other issue on your comp.

Me and a lot of my friends are strict Win 10 haters.

Can play PUBG fine but i do need to start Steam as an Admin (dunno what causes that silly problem tho).

can confirm the MS update kb2999226 fixes the issue.
my windows update is completely broken though (error 0x80080005) so..
I had to decompile the .MSU into a .cab file
then I had to install the cab file using cmd prompt
using the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) command.
so
1: I made a folder on the C drive called kb2999226 and put the .msu in it
2: then I made a folder in C:\Temp called 2999226.
3: then from command prompt i had to enter:

Expand –F:* c:\kb2999226\Windows6.1-KB2999226-x64.msu c:\temp\2999226

that unpacked the .msu to a temp file i named called 2999226
4: then i had to enter:

DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:c:\temp\2999226\Windows6.1-KB2999226-x64.cab

that added the package without using the Windows Update Standalone Installer (wusi.exe) that I have errors with (0x80080005)
no problem, update fully installed and game is running fine.. I can also run other UE4 games that would not run for me before

I can start it etc, but I lag so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much, other games i have 200 fps+ with high settings, on pubg i have around 20-40 with very low and screen scale 70, resolution 1400*900
Any tips to fix the lag? and "network lag detected"

try validating you game files, then deleting it and reinstall. That seems to fix a lot of prolems for me at the beggining
