Rendering issues?
Hello,

My computer currently is not even that bad, and it runs most games on med-high settings, since the recent patch I've been having rendering problem, when I spawn, the houses are not rendered at all, and sometimes they are invisible. And it takes few minutes to render the houses and enter them. This makes the game SERIOUSLY unplayable, to the point where I died few matches cause of this, does anyone have any sloutions?

I don't think the fix for this is in the current build though. Wasn't the fix in the patch that got rolled back?

Sometime I hit tab while I am getting close to landing to save looting time.
Yeah your right that also works but sadly not everytime ;)

It probably depends on how far away from the buildings you are when you try it since this seems to be an issue with loading in the proper LoD of the buildings. For whatever reason it seems like opening the inventory forces the LoD levels refresh which triggers the buildings to stop looking like deformed play-doh

No it has to do with your HDD or RAM it has very little to do with what you do in game before landing. The only ways to minimize or speed up the process is to shut down any program but your VOIP or steam and making sure your cores are all working for the game.

I was geting this issue all the time now i never get it because i follow those steps and turned off anything that could cause my DISK to be used and i never get it now. I get everything to load before i touch the ground.

Obviously its impossible to tell if the tab trick actually does force the game to attempt to load the correct LoDs, but it DOES lock up the game for a few seconds and then everything is loaded in. There isn't a way to know if that is also the exact amount of time it would've taken for things to load WITHOUT hitting tab, but there is SOME form of corelation.

Also it would be pretty difficult to tell if any specific tricks worked because even within the same playsession I can go from a round where everything is loaded in fine to one where it takes several minutes before buildings are loaded properly.

As i have already said and you probably didn't read i have monitored these changes with programs and task manager and its 100% the DISK and RAM which is causing this issue. Once i turned off most Windows 10 notifications and turned off some other annoying features with Win10, then made sure nothing else was running in the back ground i never got a LOD issue since, 20 seconds before i land i see all the buildings pop up.

The only times it doesn't work is when task manager tells me some other program started its self up in the background and hogs some of the DISK usage while im in the plane/about to load building in. Due to the game not having priority on the DISK usage it will put it in que which then makes everything not load in properly.

Even the DEVS said they need to work on the LOD issues with telemetry ground/terrain and buildings. So they know its slamming our Hard drives every time we get in the game.

The issue can also stem from faults in our HDD so the older your hard drive the more this issue will occur.

No need for hostility. I believe there is a chance what you are saying is accurate. I also already make sure not to be running any extra programs in the background (though I can't say it had any detectable impact, I figure it can't hurt). We also aren't really talking about the same thing. Everything you just repeated again can still be true at the same time what I said was true.

Then you are posting on the wrong thread because exactly the issues of OP and most the people here is the issue i have been talking about. On the main forums i have posted solutions which are the same as in here which fixed this same LOD issue. If you are still having issues with LOD then its most likely your hardware needs replacing (hdd or ram).

Unless magic is happening when you do your little trick i doubt its helping everyone elses issue with LOD. Your issue might be some other strange messed up issue if doing what you are saying messes at all with anything in the level of design aspects of the game.

Also my post wasnt hostile it was just pointing out certain things i have already said which people seem to have just not read.

Well the "magic" is that it forces the game to load the textures in. If you hit tab and the textures haven't loaded the game will hang for a few seconds and then load them in.

Tab isn't linked to anything important in the game.

If anything using tab which is your inventory will just lock the game up if you are having LOD issues.

How would you even know any of that? I severely doubt you have knowledge of their render code and whether or not loading in the inventory UI would trigger anything else to happen.

Either way its pretty silly for you to sit there and deny there isn't a correlation between hitting tab and the fact that once the inventory opens all the textures will have loaded in.
Animosity 2017 年 4 月 13 日 下午 4:11
I think a huge problem is there is no render distance slider so it's literally trying to load the whole map as you fall, it's even hard on high end PCs

Hopefully they add a render distance slider soon

omg but it isn't tab which is doing anything. The reason the UI/inventory finally loads is due to the LOD taking priority. Your 'trick' is doing nothing just telling you when its done loading priority files. All you do is add more to the load que when you open inventory because it now has to load those textures too.

Hitting tab does nothing to speed up LOD issue stop spouting non-sense.

Please tell me how it COULD have any affect? Please explain to me with your simple mind how hitting a key that opens up another UI menu helps with load speeds?

In what world do you live in where more inputs into a game decreases the load the game puts on your computer. I just don't understand how you can be so dim witted to not know that making the game load more increases load times.

Its like saying you should get the flu so you don't get the flu instead of a flu shot. You don't tell people to just contract to flu over something that is better for them.

Just the most mental advice i have ever seen given to fix a problem in a game. It makes me wonder if you are really just young and have zero clue about how computers or coding works in programs/games. You're the kind of person that makes me wish i were blind or also mentally handicapped like you.

Because it is potentially forcing the loading of textures to take full priority. When I don't hit tab I get plenty of framerate but it can take minutes for the textures to load in. My theory was that loading the inventory UI makes the game run a check on what textures it should be loading in becuase it seems to load them at random unless I hit tab, at which point it seems to prioritize loading the high level LoDs for textures that currently should be displaying as high (i.e. the ones the player is currently in high LoD range of).

This isn't a "fix" but a POTENTIAL workaround. As I stated before I can't actually be sure that it isn't a coincidence that the textures load in faster when I use this workaround, but your comments about me being young, etc are pretty funny given the reality of the situation.

I'm not saying my theory HAS to be right, but the idea that you KNOW it can't be based on absolutley nothing and that you are SO angry about the whole situation is just... interesting.
