how is the item drop system works?

You don't get crates from a match. You get them from BP. It's not random. It's based off of chance. Why would rank affect anything when the match doesn't give you crates? Explain your logic there thanks. You get BP from playing. Use that BP to get a crate. And the rest is chance/luck. It's not random. Fullstop.
