What happens when you die?

Two things i wanna know before i buy this. How long do you usually have to wait after dying to respawn or for a new round? Also i see a lot of videos of people buddying up. Is that just friends or people trusting each other till the end? Or is there a clan type of system?

there is solo (you dont revive you instantly die), duo (you can revive buddies), and squad (up to 4 people who you can revive). hope this helps

After dying, you enter a new round mostly in 60 seconds.

For the first part, you can join a new game immediately after you die, it's similar to World of Tanks in that you leave the game you died in and jump into a different one, but no repairs or having your player locked into the game you died in. There are no respawns but if you are queing for duo or group you can revive downed team mates

you can jump right back into a new game when you die solo mode... you can play solo, duo (another friend), or a squad. For duo/squad you need to wait from them to die to start a new game but you can watch as spectator which is often comical. Solo is a lot fun but you will have more fun playing with some buddies. When you get to be the last people standing in the game i guess that's when it gets real real... Haven't lasted that long yet....

Alright then final question, is there matchmaking for squads or duo? Or do you have to have friends to play with?

There is no respawn and you need to start a new match after you died (you can also spectate your group members who are still alive).

And there is no clan system or anything like it. There are 3 game modes:
Solo (no groups at all), Duo (only 2 people per group) or Squad (up to 4 people per group). You can invite your steam friends to your group before starting a new match - or go for the matchmaking (random people joining your group). That's it - pretty much just like e.g. L4D in terms of groups.

There is matchmaking. You can also turn it off if you have 2 friends you're playing with and don't want a random 4th.

No they can kill you, what fun would that be if you didn't have FF. But they are well labeled in game so you would need a pretty itchy trigger finger.

Just curious, makes sense. Missed when that guy mentioned similar system to L4D. The fact that you can even matchmake a teammate intrigues me. Something i always found H1Z1 and DayZ missing. Probably be a D-bag but ill see. Bought it, thanks guys
