Hi, I have a windows computer, if I were to purchase this game would a xbox one controller work well with this game? Does anyone out here use a controller for this game?

I've been playing with my Steam Controller, and having a great time. Though I have hundreds of hours with my Steam Controller, and definitely wouldn't recommend this game as one to learn the VSC with.

A more general answer though would be yes, this game does work with a controller. What I'd suggest you do is use Steam's Big Picture mode, go into the Settings, then Controller Settings, add your gamepad and check the "xbox configuration support" box. This is going to enable Steam's shockingly powerful controller configurator, allowing you to use your gamepad on pretty much any game imaginable with whatever button mapping you'd like, and access loads of community configurations that you can download and apply. I figured it out. Open up your file explorer and search %appdata%. Once there, navigate to Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor. Here you’ll see several .ini files. Backup GameUserSettings.ini, in case you need to restore it if game launches not properly, and saved it in another location. Open GameUserSettings.ini with any text editor like notepad, brackets, Note++, etc. Search or find "gamepad" on the file. There should be 12. Erase everything including the parenthesis. I looks like this ... (Key=GamePad_D_Pad_Right). If the input setting is at the end of a series of parenthesis you also need to erase the last comma. If it is not and the end do not leave 2 consecutive commas. Save the file and restart the game. Default binding are not present any more. This works for Xpadder, Controller Companion, Word of Joysticks, etc.

Example: If the line is ....... (Key=Mouse_Scroll_Up) , (Key=GamePad_D_Pad_Right))) , after erasing should be ....... (Key=Mouse_Scroll_Up))).

Many shooters you can use one get over it.

This doesnt really work with a controller and there is too much CQB and fast combat, people will just peek you and instaheadshot you while youre still trying to wiggle your mini d1ldo to aim on target... Trust me you will just end up raging. Just learn KB / M. And if you havent been at a disadvantage thats because you were playign against total noobs.

Controller is fine. These confused KB + M people who think controller is worse are just daydreaming. Maybe in a snap shooter. But this is far from a snap shooter. You will spend more time looking around for an enemy than shooting at one.
