Controls won't save.

Some of my control settings won't change; they remain red and empty, and evenever I go in to change them to something, or set them to default, they don't stay that way. They just vanish again.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you rebind something already used, you gotta bind something to that then hit apply. e.g if u rebind r, u gotta put something new to reload before hitting apply

If you bind a key that was already binded the box of that previously binded key will appear red. Just look for it in the list. You have to assign a new key or you can't apply your new settings.

I fill in all the keys, or I reset them all to default. After I have all of them set, and click "apply" and then "OK" they vanish. All the keys I input disappear so that they're not bound to a key anymore. I can't get it to save any combination or keys, including the default.

Try resetting to default then then starting again. If this doesn't work you can do the following to reset it fully.

Warning this will also set your graphic and mouse sensitivity to defaults.

1. Go to C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
If you can't see the folder AppData make sure you have checked the "view hidden items" button in the View tab in windows explorer
2. Delete the file GameUserSettings.ini
3. Verify your game files
4. Start the game

I'm a little computer illiterate. How do I do this? I'm having the same issue as Jeff. My controls wont save even after using the default settings. Help please!

I've had the same trouble, although none of the advice I've found seemed to work. I started messing around with the settings, cause I figured what else could go wrong. I went to C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and deleted the GameUserOptions. I then went back into my game and configured my setting the way I wanted them and clicked apply then OK. I closed the game and restarted it and my settings remained the way I wanted them to. I've only restarted the game a few times and they've stayed the same everytime. Not sure if this is the proper solution but it is working so far. Hope this helps.

If you're trying to rebind your keys, open up
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

For me, Use was not being unbound from F, so I searched for Key=F where it aligned with the Use key, and removed it. So I changed this:
,(ActionName="Interact",Keys=((Key=V),(Key=Gamepad_FaceButton_Left),(Key=F))),
To this:
,(ActionName="Interact",Keys=((Key=V),(Key=Gamepad_FaceButton_Left))),

I was then able to bind F to strafe right.

MEh this doesn't help, I've had this problem since the patch now :(
