But don't worry too much about it.. I get small lag sometimes but it all goes away after few secs
to do this, Search for "command prompt" on your windows PC (idk the equivalent for a mac)
open the command prompt and type in "PING 13.58.51.148" (this is their USEast IP address as of april 21st 2017 and will likely change in 7 days or based on how they have it setup... could change, or could not change...)
how to read:
Pinging X.X.X.X with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from X.X.X.X: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=30
Reply from X.X.X.X: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=30
Reply from X.X.X.X: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=30
(your going to look at the "time=32ms" point; this is the amount of time it takes to send a packet, and receive it back in X millisecond (your ping) - each one maybe different... (my example doesnt show different ones) - i would recommend pinging 3x and use the highest value... welcome to computer science :D
If you live on the West Coast to find the IP Address of the server (it will be an amazonAWS server)
First: Close ALL open programs other then Steam and PUBG (ESSENTIAL so your not looking up 500 IP Addresses)
Open command prompt and type in "netstat -a -n" without "" (a is for all, n is for now)
you will get a list, scroll up and look in the foreign address column...
use http://whatismyipaddress.com and lookup each individual IP address (typed to its entirety, some of them are IPv6 and can be quite long) - once you find an amazonAWS location, thats the one you want to ping... use that address in the relevant data above
I'm from Russia, it shows 20-30ms when i play in Europe
