I closed steam, restarted computer, relogged steam ... tried everything but none of them work. Sometimes it's randomly fine but most of the time it's broken. I liked the game but if I can't play with it or if they won't fix this I will try to refund it.

here's what i did for anyone that the other solutions dont work on. Go to control panel > search "firewall" in the upper right hand corner > allow apps through windows firewall > remove tsl game and then relaunch. It should ask admin privileges to allow tsl game through accept that and it should work

Reinstalling C++ located in the game folder worked for me.

so this is what i did..... after the bluehole logo pops up, that short second where it shows the UI. Click the top left play button and it worked... have to click it fast tho before it goes to the failed to initialize screen

Running Steam as an Admin. This can also help fix the "Steam Initialization Failure" error that many have been getting. Simply follow the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam, right click on "Steam.exe" and "Run as Administrator".
its helped for me

Go to your download folder, right click the .exe file and go to properties. then click on compatibility and at the botton ckeck or unckeck run as administrator. Worked for me.

Finally found something that cured my issues,Maybe worth a go for others.Good luck.

If you have Bullguard anti virus:
Double click on the Bulllguard icon in system tray
Click on the "settings" option from the upper part of Bullguards window
From the left panel choose "general",then from the right hand corner click on "Advanced"
Click on the Main tab from the left side(under General menu) and then uncheck "Allow bullguard to protect its components against termination"
Restart computer
Run Steam as Admin and verify PUBG game cache.
Ding dong that worked for me .

So i opened task manager I closed a lot of programs restarted steam and it worked I will fine tune it tomorrow by closing out each program and restarting steam. it could be either a vpn I have or my head set software
