Actually, no you really don't. Most people can't keep a consistant 60 fps, unless you want it locked at 30 fps Vsync would be a really dumb idea.
hey u can do it in the global grafik settings ->3D settings ->Global->v-sync on

nvidia settings on windows, go into programs parameters, add the game PUBG named "Tsl game" and choose v sync on for this program !

I get over 140fps on medium (the highest I can play without crashing). I'd like to limit it to 60 just to keep my fans from turning on.

140fps? no way your getting that many frames near any of the 3 major cities. I have a 1080, and an i5 6600k, and still manage to drop down to 30-50 fps near georgopol and polyana. I understand that different builds may be optimized differently but it's impossible to be running over 90 frames constantly unless you made your game look like minecraft. I agree about the 60 fps cap though, once it can actually be put to use. If you actually need a cap however, download Nvidia Inspector and limit the frames.

I mean, I don't have any reason to lie or brag, It's a i5 7600K overclocked to 4.8ghz, 16gb ddr3000 ram, and a gb g1 gtx 1070 oc'd to 2.1ghz and a 1ghz boost on the memory. I play on medium settings and no anto aliasing. Even cranked up to ultra I still never dip below 80fps but the game crashes constantly. I think it's less a matter of system specs and more something to do with I have a magic combo of drivers and system environment that works well, I just don't know what it is.

Oh also the game is installed on an empty SSD.
Don't hate on the man because he wants to eliminate tearing! You honestly don't 'need' over 30fps in any game quite frankly for fluidity. V-Sync away sir! :pint:

nvidia or amd use nvidia control panel or amd relive(dont ask me how to limit it on amd cause idk cause amd sucks, had bad expirence with them) but yeah you dont need vsync if you have it enabled youll be locked at as low as 20 or 30
Marc 13. Apr. 2017 um 8:58
Or go into gamesettings file and change bUseVSync=False to bUseVSync=True
Spirat 7. Juli 2017 um 15:46
I only use vsync to remove screen tearing. Otherwise I see no reason for it.

I hav a 1070 an get a constant 60FPS anywhere, but to hav that i needed to lower shadows and effects down from ultra to high, im at 1080p with rez slider on 120, i take it ur at 1440p?

U can change vsync from false to true in the ini file.

Just noticed this thread is from April lol ;) i guess it runs better now?!

Yes it was way worse, I did get 30-50 in huge towns, (usually not 30, but thats just an exageration of how bad it has gotten before), but now i run it 60 fps everywhere with no issues, 70 fps even. And Vsync in the ini file didnt work for me, presumably because I have 144 hz monitor so it caps it at 144hz, which I didn't need. Had to set an fps limit on nvidia inspector to get the fps to stay at 70, otherwise since I can actually see 144hz, when I got from having 100 frames in a less dense area to 60-70 in huge towns, there is huge stuttering. And the fps I was getting before was 1080p, but like you even realized, it ran way worse before.

reread my last message, the fps limiter was the biggest thing for me, for good reason.
