Stuck on Joining Match screen [POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS FOUND]

So I can launch the game fine, but when I join a match it puts me on the 'PLAYER UNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS: The Ultimate Life and Death Fight' screen. This would be normal, but I stay there forever. I can hear what's going on in the lobby, and hear the planes and stuff, but still only have the loading screen image. The 3 little squares are there choppily loading, but nothing else.


Any ideas on how to fix?


Edit: I have verified game cache and reinstalled

Edit Months Later (12/12): I have a new PC, loaded on SSD, works fine. Possible solutions: Check Firewall, Move to SSD, use certain launch settings.

I somewhat understand, but I feel like you can't be upset if the game has issues when its labeled early access. The majority don't have this issue, and its not the only issue. If he abandons the game relatively soon, then yea 100% scam. And if that happens, feel free to shove my words down my throat.

Well, I usually see it this way too, EA means issues and generally I'm fine with it. I'm not gonna be upset about a lack of content or optimization but PUB is something else.

The developer doesn't even manage to provide the main functionality of a multiplayer only game.

It's like having a car dealership which sells it's cars randomly with and without engine without telling or even caring about this. And after 3 days of this issue being known there's still no announcement from the Dev/Pub regarding this. It might not be the majority of customers affected by this but the dev right now sells a product which does not work for a part of the customers and he refuses to even acknowledge this.

All the other issues are already acknowledged in an announcement post but this one is ignored.

Just because there is an issue with MP in a game that is barely over 2 months old does not mean PU is scamming. He has been developing battle royale for Arma 3, H1Z1, and now this
literally since around 2014. He is a really nice, and trustworthy guy.

Happens to me typically on the first game of the day, then again maybe 1 out of 10 games. I just alt/f4 the game, it closes, I reopen and rejoin a game and it works fine.

This was fixed when i installed on a faster HDD. I think my default HDD is slower. But it worked for me once on a different HDD

Well I am certainly glad to hear you fixed your concern with a new spinny disk HDD. I am currently running a Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SSD. Possible I need to downgrade my storage drive? I have tried re-formating the drive and installing Steam and game as well same results. Its just getting tilting because I am trying to find a group to squad up with on a regular and the game constantly crashes in Q. Dose not make it too appealing to want to play with someone with "pc issues" but this is the only game I have issues with.

I don't know how to change the HD or anything like that. I'm not tech savvy and going through the fourm trying to find a fix is just frustrating me more, any help on how to change hd?

Hello! I'm having this problem as well. I'd appreciate some help on the issue. I've already tried the most common fixes. Haven't reinstalled, though.

I've reinstalled twice and it didn't fix it for me. I actually got into a match yesterday without any problems. Try just closing out the game when it gets stuck, re-open and try again. Rinse and repeat.

Try just restarting over and over until you get into a game. Takes me a 2-3 tries, but I'll get in no problem. My problem is the horrible lag due to my graphics card I think.

i found that if you play as the Host(with friends) and you exit the game and re enter after every match(sounds like a hassle but it goes by fast) than you can keep playing
