Not true.
Lmao? No. I run with 8 and get 60-80 FPS on everything Ultra.
I experienced stuttering with 6 and crashes quite often due to memory leaking.
With 8 the stutters stopped completely and I could play for a while longer before crashing due to memory leaking.
Installed an additional 8GB to try 16, and everything ran just as smooth as with 8.
TL;DR:
8GB is fine, just restart your game after every other match to prevent crashing mid-game
I ran DDR3 at 1333Mhz. So you'll probably see no issues.
Cheers for that info mate. My set is DDR3 also. Was your RAM stated for 1333Mhz or did you lower the speed for overclocking purposes?.
I lowered the speeds.
Ah ok, makes sense. Thanks for your input here, too many people don't have a clue what they're talking about but are very willing to make a suggestion :).
Now worries. I'll subscribe to the thread. Let me know if the game runs any different after you've done your tests :)
Yes, because the game suffers from memory leaking, filling up the cache.
8GB would be a "safe" estimate, but more would be better. Especially since a lot of people are complaining about memory leaks with this game, so the more you have the better.
