Battlegrounds Internet usage?
Anyone have any idea how much data in megabytes this game uses per second, minute, or hour?
My house has went over concasts lame 1 terabyte limit and we are trying to cut back on data usage so this would be good to know.

Yeah, we went over last month, probably from all the battleground twitch streams. I'de just like to gauge how much this game is using.

yes keep in mind if u watch a stream / youtube / netflix @ 1080p you are using about 6GB of Data per 1 hr of viewing when you only have 1000GBs per billing cycle it all adds up......to reduce usage change all your media things to 720p or lower i would say even lower depending how much you go over......i have 3 teenage girls i know how it can be with internet useage.

Good to know, I thought it was more like 600mbs per hour 720p but yeah for sure since the beginning of this month I have been going for 480p and watching things somewhat sparingly despire already nearly being at 200GB in the first week

i would still think it is pretty low on game playing like take GTAV it has been found by users that online that game consumed about 30-40mb per hour. also if players use mic lots it can go up more by a lilbit.

i can try n play for an hr + and mine the data on this game if you really need it.

It's all good, I would only do that if you want to play that hour. I think I read that H1Z1 used 10mbs and hour so we are probably allright here

silly, you ask what this game use is but you point you watched a lot streams. Think you better ask in twitch forum thats your issue not PUBG.

Yeah that was in response to someone's posting, I never claimed that this game was using up a ton of internet data. Just wanted to know how much this game used. Thanks to those who answered.

You can use HWinfo + Rivatuner and check internet usage in real time while playing.
Doktor Kaputt May 7, 2017 @ 4:03am
I just tested it for you.
In game its about 15KB/s max recieving (with people speaking, prolly more if more people are speaking, less if nobody is speaking) and about 2KB/s sending. Most of the time its actually only around 9-10 KB/s receiving.
Sometimes there are spikes (on the loading screen and on the waiting airfield) of up to 75KB/s receiving for some time. No idea what the the game is doing at that time.
