Just because you like, other people may not tweek it?
I never said anything about the ini files. I was talking about a possible ingame FOV sliders.
YOU said that it was an advantage over others, and now you are crawling back, because you were wrong
So in other words you completely missed his point. Well... try it again.
Making it configurable will please anyone: if you like to see more zoomed for a better aim distance, you will set it low; if you life to have it more wider for a larger view or because of motion sickness you will set it higher.
I don't understand those people which are against the freedom of having a personal preference, if I like a smaller or larger FOV it's my decision, nor yours.
Thanks for another minute of smiling and laughing. "Motion sickness" because of low FOV, yes. It's just as real as a "gaming laptop".
You know why they added forced grass/shadows to the game in the last patch? To put people on equal ground. For people to have equal opportunities in the game. When everyone gets equal "tools"(so to speak) - all that counts is the skill. When some people get some advantage/handicap - it's NOT equality. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Same applies to FOV. It should stay exact number for each and every person out there, no adjustment, no slider.
Wow you just disprove your own argument here . Is about equal opportunities, everyone has the choice of their preffered fov, best suited for their needs and setup.
You have just no argument.
Dont feed the trolls.
Fov will come back and I cant wait for it.
This is a naive reasoning, because ironically it put the low-spec PC's in a big disadvantage, while ppl with 1080 aren't suffering much the change.
They should have optimized the game before enforcing an option that would cause a huge fps drop to the average player.
For this reason the game experience on PC it will never been unified: there will be always people with better hardware that will have an advantage. This is not the consoles world.
It's not, it's a trade: smaller FOV = more zoomed, you can spot distant enemies better; wider FOV = more area view, you can scout more enemies around you, but it will be more hard to spot and shot distant targets.
Putting -sm4 in your command line, will give you a much bigger advantage than anything actually "locked" in the game, so don't play the excuse of the "unified experience" applied to the FOV, because it's not. It's a standard that this game lacks of.
EDIT: the fov is perfectly fine for third person however first person could actually use a tweak.
