How Prevalent Are Hackers?
I've heard from a lot of sources on YT/Twitch that assault rifles are four chest shots for a kill, but there have been multiple games now (ur just badkid lel get gud) where i have snuck up on people or just straight up have outgunned someone and confirmed 5+ hits in slow mo recordings and they don't die. I see a lot of hacker threads on here but we're all guilty of calling people hackers out of rage. Maybe they just buffed vests or something and I didn't get the memo. Idk. So, how prevalent are hackers?

Hackers or "modders" are pretty rare in this game. But I won't dismiss it's existence either, since typing PUBG Hacks in google brings at least 10 different sites, all selling there "HACKS"...

The sad truth, THIS GAME HAS A TERRIBLE NETCODE. I'm not saying that it won't ever be fixed (Who knows what will happen), but I've alread lost my patience with it. Just look at this screen shot I took for example...

Dude looked, walked, and shot while being practically invisible (except for his gun, obviously). However, it took about 42 seconds for him to FINALLY load in completely (I watched and counted). This is just an example of this... To top that off, there's a common exploit where people disconnect their internet for 5 seconds and then recconnect to basically "ghost" through the map and get kills. So yeah.. What you THINK is real time, could actually have 5 seconds, 30 seconds, maybe even a minute desync (Overexaggeration, I hope). But all jokes aside, I really feel like this game needs some MAJOR improvements with it's netcode and/or servers.

Not sure if joking, or serious... But I mentioned it was most likely a desync issue. But holy hell... 42 seconds to load in?! Was kinda nuts.
The majority of these "Hackers" are simply good players.

Kids these days get outplayed, or go against someone with better aim, lose, and assume anyone skilled enough to beat them, is cheating in some way.
It likely is caused by the coddling of youth, "everyone is perfect and special","everyone is a winner","Everyone gets first place", bs.

LOL OK... I agree that there are the few "special" snowflakes out there, but the majority of people who cry hacks, should really be complaining about desync issue. And not everyone is the same way about this...
I have only seen one time where I thought there was a hacker in 100 hours playing the game. I got shot while in a washroom that has no windows, door was only place I could have been shot from but the door was fine. Not many hackers though, every other time when I die I know its been legit. There might have been more hackers in games I played in but honestly there was only one time where I thought there was a hacker that effected one of the games.

I have about 40 hours in the game, I haven't seen any I can say is 100% hacker.

But I did see one in Crendors streams couple days ago, but that was very obvious, everyone dying right after jumping the plane.

So they are there, but hackers are parts of betas, they roam, and usually devs track the hacks and stuff people do with them. That is my assumption.
Thats the problem nowadays. Hackers are hiding their hacks, so they dont get banned. Thats why, for example, CSGO has Overwatch, because its so hard to see. Yet experienced people still notice it and report those people, so they show up in Overwatch.
I can guarantee you that you had plenty of hackers in your games.
Back in the days where no or only few anti-cheat protections were in place and bans would only be done by indivicual server admins (in which case the cheater simply switched to another server), you saw A LOT of rage hackers. Everyone could notice them.
Now, not so much, with all these anti cheat stuff in place. They are afraid of being caught, because that means their account will be banned everywhere and not just on one server.
People think this process means that there arent many cheaters left. But the opposite is true. There are so many, that selling cheats has become a thing.

The thing with saying someone is hacker is always hard unless it is very very obvious. I have been accused of wallhacking in APB. I wiped a group of three, twice in a row. I just outsmarted them, flanked them right after first wipe. They were 100% sure I was hacking, and actually reported me, it didn't go thru, but yeah, it is hard to tell at times, you're right.

I have seen statements from the devs that eventually you might be able to watch your games, after they finish, can't remeber what they told about "kill-cam", pretty sure they told it will never be implemented atleast for group games, not sure about solo. Also about bans I think they stated they would come in "waves". This makes sense.

The ability to re-watch your games will probably make easy to report and find hackers, but this kind of things are what the devs need to fix during EA, before they release the game.

Not being f2p game helps too, hackers, have fun paying 30€ after each ban :P Just somewhat wffwctive tools to deal with them, will probably be enough to keep most of them at bay.

Yeah, dont misunderstand me, I know there are a lot of kids out there that call everyone a hacker, if they lose against them.

Completely agree with the rest.
I think theres people absuing glitches and bugs more than actual hackers.
There's a bug where people can wallhack, both amounts to same thing though it's cheating.

just open youtube - search "pubg hack" - see how you get killed sometimes from miles away ;)

Hackers are getting fairly bad in my opinion. In the last 2 days I've been killed by the same 'rage hack' 3 times. That's to be expected in a game as popular as this and it also being in development.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN0KJUNkel8

If there is a hack that can turn an m16 into a one shot weapon, through walls (or invisible not sure) then it worries me to what else the devs have coded client side.
I watched that video 3 times. Don't see any hacking going on. You got headshotted with a Silenced M16, then your partner got headshotted with an M16, and finally your other partner got headshotted with an M16 all in the same area. Foozy had you guys dead to rights.

Now if he headshotted you guys 3 in a row in under a few seconds then ya i would call hacks but there was enough time between shots to say he was timing his shots carefully and with percision to make sure he could down each one of you with 1 shot. I mean comon, you guys were just standing there derping around, you practically gave him 3 heads on a platter.

I've seen one confirmed hacker, one group possibly using ESP (very suspect death at their hands), and 3 teaming groups in Duo/Solo and I have almost 200 hours.
they are banned pretty fast
