Hold right mouse to aim down sights.
Why is this not available as an option? I have to relearn how to shoot with aim down sights because this is different than almost all FPS games. Why is this even a thing? I get it some people like it, I absolutely despise it. Muscle memory has gotten me used to holding down right mouse to ADS
How about being able to reverse this, tap to do the shoulder the weapon part, then hold to ADS?

Why is that not available or even better the default?

Was this decision done for some quick scope reason?

I honestly do not understand why this is a thing.

Thats exactly what it is, and what takes another level of skill. Muscle memory.

Are you dense mate? Changing controls to your liking is something EVERY game dev WANTS to implement so it keeps its playerbase. That has NOTHING to do with the core functionality of gameplay. Since you seem to be such an expert on ludology, please enlighten the class how adding a basic customization feature to switch ADS from clicking to holding as an OPTIONAL function for those who want it change the depth, realism, game's environment, resources, or game balance in any way, shape, or form. So far, your argument is "Well, that key does something else in 3rd person, so it can't do what you want it to do"

Well, under your definition, the "Toggle Run" option should not be in the game since there's already a button to "Walk" if you hold it down. So what's wrong with the same exact concept that is ALREADY in the game, but for ADS or Crouching? Why is there no hold to crouch button, but there's a hold to walk AND a toggle walk. Hold to ADS and Toggle ADS.

Again, the concept is in the game controls already for walking, it just needs to be implemented for ADS and crouching, doing this does absolutely nothing to change any core functionality of the game. It does not make it easier to quick scope since you can already quick scope quite easily. Regardless of that, this isn't call of duty, quick scoping isn't accurate nor is it something you want to do to maintain a high ranking. It's a niche thing that even if you get insanely good at it, will not make you climb the ladder, its just for youtube views. Again, even quick scoping does NOTHING to change the core functionality of the game.

Tell you what, go find a devoak keybord, then try and type on it as fast as you do a qwerty keybord, then when you cant do it until you spend a lot of time doing it, I will tell you you are just bad at typing.

exaggerated, yes, but not a bad example. You have no idea how muscle memory works. Muscle memory is what you do without actually thinking about it, hence trying to consciously act in a certain way, will be overridden by your muscle memory.

Ok? But why can we not customize the keybindings to play the game the way we feel the most comfortable?
Just give it time. They might add it in later. It is still in E.A. so I think they are busy right now with bugs and play teasting and it is still being worked on so there is still a chance that they will add it. Just go play something else for awhile and check back when they send out updates.

it dosn't take too much to get used to. This game unlike most FPS has 3 type of aiming, (as opposed to two). hence needing both tap and hold. But i agree there should be an option to invert hold/ tap.
i totally agree with this. it gets me killed so much trying to aim.

i'll just say one last thing for the sake of arguement, muscle memory is a crutch in your situation because u want to play a different way, adapt, change your comfort zone otherwise you will be left in the dust.
