rx 480 runs like trash
just built a rig for this game yesterday. i5 and rx 480. well above minimum specs and it still has god awful fps and a weird blur wave line that comes and goes. ive tried all the minor things and even put all my settings to ultralow with 720p still is struggling. any ideas would be awesome. thanks

I'm running a XFX RX 480 8GB RS w/ an i7-4790K plus 32GB of 1866MHz RAM. My only issues are lag which is due to player population, server connectivity, and probably my VPN.

What is your RAM looking like? Have you updated your drivers lately? Monitor possibly? Try a fresh install?

haha u think thats bad i got an intel core i7 4790@3.65 ghz with 16 gigs of ram , and I get 40 fps tops and it drops to 30 and down to 20 in combat, very annoying sometimes. I think its my graphics card thats holding me back though, picking up an gtx 1050 tmro for 200 bucks off of newegg.

You have to remember that this game is still "early access" and has not been optimized hardly one bit. Be patient, they said they have plenty more to work on with performance. I have an i5, a 940m Nvidia Geforce, and 8GB RAM.. the game was almost unplayable, but since this most recent patch with the performance update I have gotten 2nd place four times.

I've got a i7 3820 @ 4.6ghz and a Nvidia 1080 OC'd, I'd say it's borderline playable..

Change your screen scaling maybe; Also are your drivers up to date?

gtx 1050 is garbage. i have i7 3770 and gtx 1070. pretty much never get anything less than 60

somehow still had some windows updates not installed. runs much better now and is playable, but still pretty rough on all medium settings. i will have to snag another 8gb of ram once they dip back down in price and hold out for some legit patches

Lol I run everything on High. I only have issues/frame drops when I've jumped from the plane.

It's okay to be jelly :P

From everything I've heard from discussions it seems CPU and RAM get hit the most then GPU.

You may want to try setting everything to low and upping only textures and view distance to high or ultra. Your GPU is fairly powerful but an i5 is going to be holding you back and having those video setting should offload more onto your GPU freeing up your CPU so that it doesnt hit 100% usage and give you frame drops.
