My PUBG needs to update. However, it can't complete because Tslgame won't close.

i know just letting them know how i get around the issue till the devs fix it if ever ....
I had the same issue. I have one monitor so switching to another is not an option. The simplest workaround for this problem is creating a simple .bat file with only one line:
taskkill /F /IM tslgame.exe /T

(For those of you who have no idea what a .bat file is and how to make one, here's short instruction:

1. Create a text file on your desktop.
2. open the file and paste command "taskkill /F /IM tslgame.exe /T" without quotation marks
3. Save and close the file
4. edit file's extension from .txt to .bat
5. Confirm the change
6. Done :)

Name the file "kill_PUBG.bat" and keep it wherever you like. Next time your game crashes press Win button and start typing "kill_PUBG". Windows will find the .bat file and all you need to do is press Enter. Voila!

If it happens just open task overlay and sign out. No need to restart ur pc by pressing/holding the power button

Taskkill and taskmanager cannot close this process even with admin rights.
cant belive this issue is this old AND STILL NOT FIXED
There is many issues that still exist and devs has done NOTHING for them...like if u leave from match it shuts whole game without error and it's been here since 2017. Also desync is even worst than year ago or 2 years ago.
If you're using Nvidia driver version 531.29 you might be experiencing a known bug acknowledged by Nvidia (Higher CPU usage from NVIDIA Container might be observed after exiting a game ). Recommend updating your graphics driver.
After maintenance, there was a file update but I could not see any patch notes as to what it was for.

I've logged on/off PUBG about 20 times and have not had the shutdown issue happen. Before it was happening once ever 5-6 times on average.

I wish that PUBG would provide hot fix notes. Is it not strange that a company has a patch/hot fix and supplies no information about what it is?
