I know what a handful of the pop culture references are in THE VIDEOKID, but not all of them. I've been looking across the web to see if anyone knows what all of them are, but to no avail.
Is there anyone who can provide a list of all the pop culture references (in no particular order) that appear in this game?

If you are still interested i have tried to break it down but im sure ive missed some though and besides of that not all characters are from the 80ies even though the majority is.

I feel pretty confident about those right below

various characters/things from same shows movies turning up on different ocasions down the road (who framed roger rabbit, peanuts, dr who, He-Man, baywatch, karate kid, back to the future, teenage mutant ninja turtles,the blues brothers, 48 hours) - characters showing once, Inspector gadget, care bears, a-team, big bird, duck tales, star trek, scarface, taxi driver, National Lampoon's Vacation, michael jacksons thriller, terminator, paddington bear, dukes of hazard, beverly hills cop, ghost busters, space invaders/Pac-Man, rocky, herbie, dancing prunes, Short Circuit, lethal weapon, super man, Fraggle Rock, Alvin and the Chipmunks, smurfs, postman pat, scoobie-doo, Peabody and Sherman, Indiana jones, transformers, Ruff Mitchell from Dennis the Menace cartoons, flintstones house, Chucky from Child's Play, gremlins, simpsons, Fry from Futurama, John McClane from Die Hard, Jason Voorhees, Batman car, pee-wee Herman, Freddy kruger, Beetlejuice, Ash Williams from evil dead, platoon, aliens 2 armored car, poltergeist house, The Fall Guys truck, Snake Plissken/Escape from New York

besides of those i have some im not that confident about but ill post them anyways

a character who caries some sort of long box i think its either Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men or Paul Kersey from Death Wish. I also believe the guy drinking coffee in his doorway might be a reference to the character Henry Hill in good fellas but i might be grasping at straws there. as it might just be a copy cgharacter of the original game.

Playable/unlockable characters - marty mcfly, Daniel LaRusso/karate kid, teen wolf, the joker, Col. John Matrix /commando, cookie monster, wonder woman,

Edit: crocodile/aligator in the sewer might be a reference to 1980 horror movie Aligator.

To add a few: Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Ferris Bueller's Day Off characters in red car, alien rammed down by previously mentioned armored car, nightrider dropped by big truck , Giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from ghost busters (didnt show up or notice it on my first playthrough and completely ruined my game).

Besides of those ill make a correction: the character i believed to be fry from futurama is Elliott riding his bike with E.T. from the movie ET.

No problem as i had a great time playing it, i pretty much bought it for the paperboy nostalgia as i remember playing that game as a kid in the 80ies but i gotta say i actually loved the experience of the video kid way more so keep up the great work and best of wishes for you in your future gaming endeavours.

This game is phenomenal. I just started and haven't gotten very far yet so I can't really add to the list (if there's anything to add) but have noticed many of those so far. I LOVE the California Raisins reference lol. As a kid in the 80s around the holidays this was always what I looked forward to most:
