I had selected a move 3 card. I used 2 of the 3 moves from the card. I think at this point I might of clicked my right mouse button. On the screen the message "Select one of the stones on the board to move" was displayed and the Moves: 1 prompt was also displayed.
At this point I couldn't do anything, none of my pieces were highlighted and I couldn't click on any of them.
The only way I could continue was to press ESC and save the game. Restarting the game took me back to the start of my turn (I think). I was able to complete my turn.
If you can't reproduce this I will attempt to reproduce it myself when I get a chance.
I just tried to reproduce this and I couldn't. I definitely somehow got into a status where I couldn't make the final move of a move 3 card, but I'm not sure how I did it.
I'll post another message if I figure out exactly what causes it. It must be really rare, I've only seen it once in ten hours of gameplay.
