do you know this traffic/bridge trick? :)
after i searchead a lot in the forum and guides for tips regarding traffic i never found this setting here. those "bridges" are very useful, especialy on 2 or 3 lane traffic intersections to avoid to much mixup.

to build its simple, build a two way lane and then a intersection but pull it OVER the road and find a spot to place (to sad my curser isnt visible but i'm placing one right on that screenshot)

Huh? I've done it, but it's never been simple for me, and to the best of my knowledge, I'm the world's #1 Tropico 4 teraformer.

It seems to take a small elevation change at just the right point to pull it off. If you have any tips on how to do so, please post them.

THIS IS A WARNING THAT AN ANSWER TO THIS MIGHT BE A SPOILER, JUST SO SUCH A POTENTIAL SPOILER WILL ALREADY BE ESSENTIALLY "MARKED" by this sentence here.

elevation doesn't matter in that case. the trick is only to build it exactly like on the screenshot. 2 lanes close together. if you try to build a intersection the distance between those 2 lanes is to short to connect, if you drag a bit further it will let you build a piece of road that is "over/under/right throu" the 2 lanes :)

Thanks! I'll have to give that a try. Maybe I'll get back into Tropico 4 again. Given my tendency to teraform, I guess it would make sense if I accidently became overly obsessed with elevation.

I saw this mentioned some place. I took notes on how to do it. You need to do something like drag the new road and find out where the intersection transition occurs, and then do your build just short of that point to get this over/under affect. (at the moment I am not free to check my notes) I have created these, but have yet to play enough to use/need it.

BTW... it can be way more useful that it looks (I think.)

The thing is, even though you might only be able to
make mostly those tight little loops, I'm pretty sure you
can carefully delete most of the loop afterwards, and then
have overpasses in a complex road system that
might not even have any of those loops left. :check:

BTW... I sometimes like to litter the board with a
bunch of the old-world buildings that I want to
still have after we hit Modern Times. (Like
the Cathedral, definitely the Marketplace,
and don't-know-if-it-really-counts, but the
Airport to go with the Aerodome so you can
hope it doesn't die to an earthquake.

Point here being, is that if you can get the
"make an overpass and delete the loop"
trick to work, you might want to scatter them
around where you expect to make the city,
before you have a bunch of buildings and
stuff getting in the way of making more
loops. :presidente:
