Comparing this to BF3 - and praising BF3 to heavens, because of its graphics.
Oh you poor child
So, what I am trying to say is, unless both games you are describing is using a same graphical art style then comparing for both is simply on a personal preferences in art direction. At least at the time when I was a young gamer, we focused on poly counts and whatever graphical enhancement was available in that specific game engine such as alpha or trilinear blending, antialiasing, or even volumetric shadow. I think of these things are "graphics".
Can you dumb it down for the OP?
I hope you can understand why most gamers do not like linear ♥♥♥♥. However, that really depends on the game type.
You don't speak for most gamers. Not everyone likes open world games. Hell, most people I know like both. Why can't you like one and the other?
I'm almost certain it would be about 50/50 if you took a real poll of every gamer out there. You certainly don't speak for me, and I'd wager anyone out there would say the same to you.
Also I say again, what does it matter. Why can't people like both?
Look at many games that failed. Many people hated how linear it is.
That's just the way it is.
Why can't people like both?
I didn't say people shouldn't like both.
Many gamers do not like games hand holding you through everything. Some people do.
Linear games is kinda handholding you through the process of completion. Of course, like I said earlier, it highly depends on the type of game.
If you read my post, you'll see the text that I replied to. Do you really want to continue?
I fully agree with that, but it's no reason for you to start telling people to kill themselves.
